Cat pictures - but not on Facebook or Twitter...

If you have the need to tell the world what you had for breakfast, when you last farted... then go for it...

Plus it is an exclusive club - they exclude those who don't have either...

    I'm excluded...

    Is this social media? Huh?
I am part of the anti-social media, just creates shit and do people realise that only 1% are actual likes?

    Good for you.
If it wasn't for my overseas family and mates I wouldn't have a FB account.

Do you care which of your freinds-but-not-close-ones gets married/has kids/moves overseas?
Do you miss out on event invitations from your friends?
Do your freinds eschew txt/email/phone/person methods of communication?

If you answered yes to any of those, then get a FB.

If you answered or did not answer any of those, you don't need a twatter.

Does this indicate the level of intelligence that the majority of social media users have?

And you want to join that group??

If you had the winning ticket would you show it to all and sundry via social media, especially if all and sundry could see the number that gives access to the winnings?

Found out what happens when you 'defollow' a friend, but not defriend them
Just got sick of the relentless stuff that was cute/nice for them, but I wasn't really interested (like the dog now has the couch, the dog now eats more than I do)

It wasn't that I didn't want to be friends, I just had more important (for me) things to do.
Sure if they wanted to go for a ride etc, but then I would miss out as I had defollowed them.

Most of my mates send an email, Skype or drop round (usually they call to see where I'm @) a more person to person contact.

Only got FB because of some requirement for software I was installing why? I have no idea.

For some events its nice to get the odd picture etc when you miss an event that's where FB excels.

Don't add anyone you wouldn't have a beer with. Problem solved.

If you are unable to beersies with them because they are on the other side of the world, send cat pictures.

At my age i doubt if the first line is applicable. Event invitations - i hear about the funerals.....People who want me to do jobs for them find me despite my efforts to hide...
i see no valid reason to own a cellphone or any better internet access than the crap dialup I have now.
