That assumes that they aren't less aerodynamic

Thank fuck the rider hasn't been fooled by the "4kmh" propaganda bullshit.

    Well done that rider!!

All black riding gears and a black road bike...

    Someone fess up!

& since its a "National Crime'' - the boss cop wants to catch 'em "Before they kill..." ..what a drama queen..
..then he spouts a bunch of bullshit 'physics' - as though he's a reanimated Dr Freeth..

Really - he should be listing the revenue the cops hope to gain for the treasury & the criminal sanctions they intend to apply..

& as if any typical truck travelling at legal speeds doesn't pose much more of a 'physics' problem - if it hits you..

Any decent production sports bike from the last 3 or so decades could be a culprit..

But does anyone in the area have an H-D VR1000 Superbike?

They were factory painted 1/2 black, 1/2 orange, side-to-side, so.. it is perhaps.. within the bounds of what is possible..
& we haven't heard if the dozy cop could tell if it was a big twin, or what-have-you - by the sound..

Maybe it was the ghost of Russell Wright, on the mighty HRD-Vincent Black Lightning - doing a phantom pass..

I know a chap down that way who rides a black GN250. He reckons its 'really' fast.

    Nope.

Weight has nothing to do with the speed at which something falls.

As per someone else - its all about Wind resistance.

I'd do an approximate that a Harley would actually fall slower than a person (depending on how it fell, but I would guess it would end up semi on it's side in a sort of flat spin) - which I think would generate more drag than a human body.

Would actually be a fantastic experiment to do.

You seem like that sort of chap that could help me here. What falls faster out of a ton of feathers or a ton of bricks?

Are they both attached to a Harley and in a perfect vaccum?
