    1st ever bike!

    Hi all,
I've just bought my 1st dirt bike and I'm slowly getting the hang of it.
Is there anyone I'm wellington who'd be keen to ride with a beginner? Free most evenings and weekends.
I can fit 2 bikes on the back of the truck if that helps.
    Thanks

Wide open and steer in the general direction required lol- get stuck into those organised trail rides, you'll meet some great people..

We used to use Silverbullet.co.nz up in the north island.
And Myrides.co.nz is mainly southisland rides.

Can anybody add on to this?

Yup, silver bullet is all you need really, everything gets posted on there. Otherwise there's the sandpit which is always good fun.

    Btw what's the new bike?

    It's a drz125 but I want to up to a 250 already 😅
The bikes brand new but I could be keen to sell if the right offer comes in.
So if anyone reads this and fancies it feel free to pm me.
    Thanks

Sandpit is fun but harder to ride in the height of summer. I will probably head up tomorrow but guess it will be a workout. Good place to learn skills.

I rode it last Saturday after all the rain we had was perfect!

But agree can be tough in summer, especially on a DRZ125, shes going to be struggling a tad!

Also around the Waikato there is ....

Thudercross (not good to ride in the Wet for beginning) (Out the back of Ranariri)
Kimmys (now called MotorCross Central i believe, The trail loop hasnt been open for a few years though. (Huntly)
    Maddix MX Park. (Tauranga)
Karamu does twilight rides every second tuesday night. (10mins from Hamilton towards raglan)
Also the riding in the Maramarua forest is a great ride for all levels. (My favorite) (Auckland/waikato boarder ish)

Hope this is usefull (Im a ex north islander)

All these places sound awesome, only thing is I'm in Wellington so a bit far to travel just for a days ride.
    Thanks though

I usually spend a couple of hours 2-3 times a week at Red Rocks after work, I have just gotten back into trail riding so I am not the fastest by any means

I could meet you at the car park and go from there
