    I do.

I am also aware of peeps with badges who think they can do no wrong. They are sometimes wrong. You should be aware of them too.

I saw a lovely Mk4 (could have been a Mk5?) with a very faded For Sale sign in the window whilst crawling through Spaghetti Junction yesterday. I called out to ask the price, to which thw owner proclaimed "$4,000". Bargain! I said.

I know a Twat on the North Shore who paid $8,000 for an original but rusty snot green Mk3 last year

I think you're ripping yourself off but hey, more room in the shed for new shit!

Yeah met both types, usually the imported ones have a chip on shoulder.

just like all walks of life, there's the good and bad.

if I am in the wrong I just take it, be straight up and have a good attitude.

otherwise I just chill, had quite a few breath checks while on bike no worries 99.99% never drink and ride.

had a couple who could do no wrong, really put me off helping others esp authority figures.

then had an accident at work I called 111 for ambo, they wouldn't send one, 2 coppers turned up, 1 was furious no ambo on way, he rang up and demanded one. The guy survived.
He raised my perception of coppers that day not so much about the 111 service.

By the sounds of it, what with being overtaken by just about everything but Farmer Jack's tractor, I don't think you have much to worry about anyway. In fact, don't even bother checking your speedo, you'll be fine
