Seriously, there's fuck all you can do when the people someone elected decide to do something.
In 2000 there was a threat to her safety. Her non-attendance then and in 2004 was related to Maori (Maaori) challenges as to her right to speak because she is a woman. (I know - there are those who might disagree...)
John Key has announced he's not going in order to avoid embarrassment when he could be refused admission. More self-serving aggrandisement.
Akzle for Governor General.
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!

Yup - the NZ government has very carefully avoided telling anyone anything meaningful. Damn... We might form an opinion of our own! That would never do.
There's the problem, and I'm as guilty as anyone else. The government has the media mouthpiece - how is anyone going to make a dent in policy while nothing they say is heard? Public protest is a start, but it'll not get the airtime that the signing will. We could ask questions, but who will we ask? Prompt a media presenter and your questions aren't asked.
The only ones who might be able to turn this around are Winston and a coalition of non-National parties, but they're all too far up their own arses to get together and sort anything out. Jane Kelsey has tried, in her position as one of the most experienced and qualified people in this field, and has been smeared, belittled and laughed at by John Key. Because Key has the media attention and Kelsey doesn't, he gets more airtime and representation, leading the public to believe he is right.
OK - the question stands.
What do we do?
