The other one is an earlier model and pretty manky so will probably flick it off

The finest Enduro bike Yamaha ever built a 1984 IT200, got another out in the back shed

I bought that bike 14-15 years ago, thrashed it on many a trail ride before deciding to do a rebuild which has taken far too long and far too much money

I think they might have another winner, YZ 250X 2t different state of tune than the MX model (for cross country) WR gearbox (wide ratio) plus a side stand. And KYB suspension tuned for cross country. That should tick the boxes for many.

Found half the spokes in the rear wheel loose, managed to get about half of those sorted but the rest are seized solid, dropped it off for the professionals to deal with and wont get it back until next week, pulled the rear wheel from bike 2 and slotted that in so I might get to ride it yet

Yeah and you can bore those 465 barrels to 490 and beyond about 12 bores I think, excellent value.

Just took it for the first ride, very plush suspension, might need to firm that up a bit, not running quite right so it feels a bit soft, time for a plug change and clean the carb

Nice easy 2t hopefully not too much to get it running sweet. RMX supposed to have plush suspension for the trail, I would have thought. Unless you travel fast, then you'll sort it. At least she's a runner. Bloody good.

A carb clean and change of plug got it going a bit better but it still doesn't have the punch I'd expect from a 250 though so still might not be quite right, off for a small ride with some friends tomorrow, need to get some better body armour and make up a tool kit for it, that'll have to wait a few weeks until Nationals are over

Good stuff. Remember it's the enduro model. I would expect it won't have the performance of the MX model, but it should have low down torque without the real hard hit up top. Perfect for trail rides with wide ratio gear box
