whoa! guys, the question we should be asking is why there is a bus full of kittens and why they are visiting Hamilton!

Ahh. So you don't die instantly at those speeds. Very interesting....................

I always knew there was a point when even hardened riders can't attempt to justify another riders behaviour. This guy has proven this theory.

The public will have a field day rubbishing motorcycles. Thanks Bud for putting another nail in the coffin of motorcycling.
Like the media you too have made the shorts the headline, like ATGATT would make any difference at all if you came off on the road at those speeds.

He was an arse having a laugh. It just so happens he was doing it on a bike. I'd imagine that all the riders falling off and hurting themselves within the speed limit are more likely to be the nails in the coffin than some dude who could just as easily have been in a car or swinging a golf club.

A motorcyclist in shorts was clocked at 232km/h while "playing games" with police in Hamilton.

The 152km/h speed over the limit could be one of the highest speeds recorded on New Zealand roads.
    232 - 152 = He was in an 80 zone too!

Had a laugh when I heard this hit talk-back radio today.

The "click(ring) bait" topic was: "This crazy rider was going really fast, should all motorcycles have speed limiters on them!?".

The first (positive) motorcycle caller was "Truck driver Fred", who ignored the actual topic, and decided to rant incoherently about motorcycle registration costs, and his personal collection of ACC stats about household slips and falls, and the cost of weekend rugby players injuring themselves.

GG random, part-time motorcyclist, keep driving that truck...

Hahahaha Not in NZ matey. He will get a fine that he can't afford. They will try to get $5 a month out of him and when he doesn't pay that they will put it on the too hard pile....

Some also claim that their penis is a lot bigger than it actually is. The truth is quite the opposite.

Would depend on the slide. If it was clear then you might get away with just a few bruises. If not then yes not much chance of the body surviving an impact at that speed.

    yup agree we 'all' did stupid shit as learners. {Hand up to even putting a 350 top end on an RD250, and as an apprentice toolmaker, skimming the bottom fin off an RD400 mill and re-stamping the engine/CC numbers, bad, BAD boy}
Thing is, even that was a fair bit slower than a 'big bike', that tosser had either a de-restricted, or, non LAM's bike that is faster than the 'superbikes' of my learner era.
Forget all the modern gubbins {tyres/electronics/ABS etc} the one thing that HASNT changed or improved is the 'advanced monkey' holding the bars.

I agree, there a good number of riders out there riding outside their licence condition's.

One glaring issue with riders of this caliber, is that it's only a matter of time before the luck really runs out. They can be caught time and time again ie: The rider on this occasion was already on a suspended learner licence. and they need to realise that their careless regard for themselves and/or other road users has a limited time frame.

Yes we can all probably admit to doing stupid shit... but there is an element out there, where it appears to be in their DNA to rinse and repeat.
