found hiding at his sister's house

    HAHAHA

but really... it sounds like he lost them repeatedly and then deliberately recaught their attention... multiple times even? I wonder at what point he went from "this is great haha chase me you cops" to "oh shit where's sis HELP ME SIS".

What a shame I don't know him. For the rest of his life every time he walked into the pub we'd yell out "HIDING AT YO SISTA'S HOUSE"

Having been avoiding Auckland for years I'd be lost almost everywhere, except there. The roads around Miranda although not wide are straight. With nothing much growing above knee height you can see for miles, probably not a bad place to let the bike stretch its legs.

You don't normally see between Kawakawa Bay and Waitakaruru, they will usually be on the main roads - but not always.

If he had been wear a Rossi replica race kit it would have kept the whole body in one leather bag for the pathologist to do the post mortem on.

Nah I'd look fucking silly in one piece leathers. I do have a couple of race replica helmets though.

Triumph have used the Daytona name for various models, but the 675 that has been current for some years now is supposed to be good for 265kph.
And no, it's not LAMS compliant.

His licence class is hypothetical because he probably isn't going to have one for some time. Jorge Lorenzo only passed his licence test a couple of years back. Eugene Laverty reportedly failed his theory test a just few weeks ago. Some people can ride quite well despite not having a licence at all.

I would like to point out that the road he was on used to be a 100K zone, the last few years the F##kn PC homo's in the waikato / waipa district council have been reducing speed limits and shortening passing lanes on nearly all busy over used roads. They seem to be pretty determined to do the opposite of FUTURE PROOFING highways and country roads out of town (i.e expanding etc for population growth)

On a more serious note, My LAMS bike loses the wind in its sails at 172kph

Actually, you need to define ride quite well with respect to the circumstances. While there is some crossover of skills, mostly, going fast on a race track and riding well on the road have totally different mindsets, lines blah blah.

Hmm .. you need a brain engaged to survive riding a motorcycle on public roads at those sorts of speeds ...
