Help with cluch removale honda cbr 900 rr

Hi am having trouble getting my clutch nut undo ;-) with the centre hub free spining . i tryed putting clutch plates back in.

am thinking of buying a air impact wrench i only have a black ridge brc 180 comprssor non belt drive 180 ltrs per min

Is it up to driving a 3/4 or 1/2 impact wrench and is there better choice between both of these .

am looking on tm at the moment . my thinking is there enough drag on the clutch plates . that quick flick impact gun torque it undone

before moves to much. i know you can get honda service tool to hold the centre hub to the outer.

i thought other ways but i say end up breaking the cutch hub posts or at least damaging the backet or posts.

Am in the process going to split the engine cases to replace the gearbox bearings on mainshaft. and checking shift forks . and drum

Clutch holding tool is worth its weight in gold. A rattle gun can do it but having a holding tool is a good thing. Try this

3/4 is overkill, 1/2 is fine for anything you'd find on a bike

I wouldn't be using them for doing anything up though, on a motorbike I'd say pretty limited use, maybe clutch nuts and rotors

Tool arrived yesterday worked great no way undone the clutch nut otherwise .broke on 1 /2 drive ;-)

so used a small t bar and pipe etentsion finally got it undone .
