Beg to differ - the key delimiter is that they aren't televised nationally

Well as an indicator - Aussie Obesity rates (21%) Vs the US (31%) would be a good indicator

I barely scrapped up the energy to reasd this tread - was mildly intrigued to see what everyone said ...

I suppose I'll watch some of it, but I don't have sky .. so it might be the edited highlights - If I can be bothered

A bit of a mixed fortunes to date. I'm pleased to see Bond and Murray get the gold. Had a feeling the men's sevens were going to miss out. They haven't been up to speed for a while now.

I bet Dave Dobbyn was pleased that he wasn't asked to be on standby to sing Loyal at any Gold medal ceremony.

Ah, yes. That lovely Chinese weight lifting athlete who smashed two World Records with her snatch. Delicious.

Must admit I am stoked for Fiji, the country is going nuts and the players receiving their medals was a lovely watch. Well done.

True - Fiji always was the great sevens development side and deserve to be recognised as such - fantastic!

Gotta feel for the Kiwi Kayaker after picking up a superb Silver, only mired by the officials flying the Ozzy flag for her at the medal ceremony.

It wasn't that long ago that Fiji was routinely superior to New Zealand in the sevens.

Tietjens has been coach of the Sevens team for 22 years. In vehicle terms, that's a classic.
