Wow, this one isn't so much about an optimistic seller (necessarily), but me asking, can these be worth that much?! I haven't seen these selling for anywhere near that amount, that I've noticed. I was surprised when an unregistered, unrestored 350 sold for $5k recently.

I have a 350 (A7) sitting in my garage not getting all that much love. Registered, WOF'd and everything.

    Ouch.

My brother had the opportunity to buy a very nicely restored XY Falcon for a song 15 years ago, but passed for various reasons. Whoops.

You're the fucktard spouting that the bike isn't as advertised right now.

The one and only time I went deer hunting with 3 mates in a Trekka 3 of us had to push the fucking thing up two hills before reaching Raetihi.

The bike isn't as advertised for the reasons I mentioned before.

But you, Mr Fucktard Cunt, still decide to blabber gibberish about how you THINK I don't know what I am talking about. The title of this forum is "Optimistic Sellers". So I decided to contribute and pointed out an advert of a previous motorcycle I used to own and how the current owners description doesn't match the history of the bike. Not to mention he put up a price that is waaay too much for something that has been written off and seen the track on a regular basis.

As an example the seller in the advert mentions the engine was reconditioned/rebuilt. Who did this, you may wonder? Meeeeeeeee!

Now I know for a clear fact there are no "forged" pistons in there.

Second fact I know what I am talking about is that the front fairing was not broken due to shipping. It cracked because the bike landed upside down! It cracked on the headlight corner edge as per photo! How the fuck does a front fairing break at those points due to shipping anyway?

Third fact I know what I am talking about is those "after market" exhaust are NOT after market. They are original OEM, I removed the baffles MYSELF and threw them in the bin!

Is that enough proof for you you blithering idiot? Or are you gonna keep going? I am happy making you look like an utter cunt

The Kawasaki 2/ triples have become very desirable - not so sure about this 250 twin at that price tho'

It was based off a range rover so reliability was never a strong point.

The Trekka had no connection to Land Rover, there being only a very superficial visual resemblance - of sorts. The motor and transmission were Skoda, the company that built the Trekka were the Skoda importer. The assembly quality standard was not high, the standing comment being that they were thrown together from ten feet away. Still, at the time they answered a need. It's nice that there are some examples around but I have no desire to own one thanks.

Thanks for the correction. It's been a while since I read into them.

Was a funny thing to drive the gearbox was in backwards to a normal shift pattern. Mine had duel rear wheels so it did tend to go places you wouldn't expect it to get to.
Had a a-frame on the front we used to tow it to tracks and use it rather than drive it on the road.

Have you ever seen another one around? They seem to be like lancia. Only ever seen one for sale on trade me.

Was 1st where 5th usually is and then goes backwards to reverse in 1st.

I haven't said the bike is ad advertised, just that your information isn't up to date. Is it not possibe that it's no longer the same motor? That the fairing was repaired and re broken in transit?

But keep getting further wound up about it. I've said it's over priced, and never said it didn't qualify for this thread.

Mine was the only one I have ever seen in the flesh.
Yeah I think its was the skoda motor and gearbox installed backwards as its in the front rather than rear but im not one learned in the ways of skoda.
1st was where 4th would be and 4th where 1st would be from memory. It was about 20years ago and never seen on since.
