I'm over Auckland, neigh on gridlocked traffic, fucked by weak governance for younger people by Politicians who are only interested in themselves.
Once all the Baby Boomers have shuffled of to that great Harley Accessory shop in the sky things should settle down.

Being retired means no traffic hassles morning and night... was lucky with last position as travelled against the flow. As for the lack of governance, don't start me. I'd start by laying blame at the feet of a certain MP from Epsom and then make sure a few more got some sh*t on their shoes...

More of a saturday night rant...
What is it with people who move to a quiet country village for the lifestyle then keep the entire bloody village up with a party....The bass is up so loud that my bloody house is jumping - and i'm 200 yards away. There is no escape from it.
They've already had two visits from the council noise people - and disregarded them...Now well past the local time limit for noise. And an illegal open fire outside too.

Job for tomorrow is to find out who the landlord is of that property. Last lot we had like this, the landlord really didn't like getting calls at midnight about his tenants....

Lets see if the leaving crowd starts doing skids around the village - that should get the hosts tarred and feathered.

We had some Hori's a few doors down night one doing the same thing, we called noise control but they would be an hour and a half away at best and I was to call back if the shit had quietened down before then. I went and fronted the party myself, luckily there was a rather sober female who could understand me and turned the sounds down ''is that enough''? ...''no a bit more'' 10 minutes later they left.

phone the 111 about the fire too, they dont always, but will bill them for wasting time if it's a regular.

what makes the fire illegal, if its restricted fire season due to a ban then yeah the fire peoples can put it out but if its not and if its not a danger to life or property then no the fire people can't put it out.
now before you ring 111 consider the fact that if it is a small village then the local fire are most likely vollies which mean they donate their time freely, but i can tell you this, if you ring 111 at 1am just to piss the neighbors off then you are gonna have some mighty pissed off vollunteers for two reasons, one you have interrupted their night and two you have committed resources to some petty squabble that may be needed at a real emegency.

in short if its neighbors at war leave the vollies out of it and lay a complaint with ya local council.
they will not get billed for the call but if it is a falsey and you do it often then you will most definitely get billed for it

what ax is referring to i think is false calls from PFA's which will get billed if happen to often and that includes schools and hospitals and rest homes as well as businesses.

having said that i understand your frustration and the landlord is often the best option

Took us 25 noise control complaints 2 popo visits to get rid of the renters next door. Mid week band practices at 1am and parties till 4am on weekends were almost a weekly event.
It ended up being the landlord wouldn't renew them another year that got them out after she had been approached by noise control to sort them out.
The graffiti in the neighbourhood has stopped now also which is good. Nothing worse than finding tags on your walls and garage door after a sleepless night.

I had some pricks partying all night next door a couple of years back.
I bought their house & chucked them out.
A few months later I bumped into the worst offender, he said, "If I'd known you were going to rent it out, I would have stayed" yeah, well I get a choice now, & you fuckin don't.
Lovely neighbours there now though.

I've found firing up the chainsaw and chipper under the neighbours bed room window at 6am a great way to enter negotiations about "reasonable levels of noise".

Thanks for the comments and ideas....Already spoken to the local VFB, the fire is illegal due to no open fires in the built up area. The VFB are a bunch of tough bastards and if they'd come, it would be out, no arguments....
The council are going to get a rocket on monday from several here as the security firm they hire for noise enforcement "couldn't find" the adress....

Sitting in the car eating bloody doughnuts somewhere more likely.

Noise died down when his next door neighbour arrived home at 1am...much shouting and it sounded like an amp got busted, lol...
Then up again at 3am - and right through to dawn...
Just been over to see him in daylight. Asked for the bass to be turned down as my pounding headache from last night wasn't pleasant...
Complied quietly.

He's not going to find it pleasant living out here after last night. Edit - even less pleasant - we've just discovered he's already "known to the police" - who are going to have a quiet word in his ear, LOL.

I feel for ya, Bass seems to be at its worst the further away from the source you are. The music is fine, you can not hear it, but Bass is like Japanese water torture.

I have lost my temper on a few occasions, but restraining orders, trespass notices etc cause other issues if your a hunter.

Smashing all their light fittings out of the ceilings and the offending power points with a baseball bat usually ends with a quiet party in the dark.
