another ripper rally
been tried before, several times over the years and all some cunts did was pay day rate and stay the night ripping off everybody else, have you an email address to send a form so you can join the club? even members of the sulphur city club would sneak in a back way and go on about how they did it, how would they feel if someone did it at their rally, they'd lynch them
last year was the 40th so a few came out of the woodwork for that
last years mud put some off, even though it was explained as out of the clubs hands and ground would be much better this year, and was
previous years to get the roast dinner you had to pre pay, this year that wasn't the case so i wonder how many didn't prepay, planned to go but didn't
weather didn't look flash on friday, but wasn't 'bad' weather for this time of the year
club was several weeks late getting tickets available
as with all things, the clubs keen but if they lose to much then it becomes unviable, hopefullly numbers will move up next year.
Same here![]()
I was disappointed for the club because as Kiwis go it was as good as most others.
Wet ride down and back but the main day sat was as good as you getand the Friday night band is always worth travelling for
Food wasnt as good as the prepaid meal days but still enough meat and veg/Pasta etc not to live on chips and get some veg and spud in ya, so that was all good
Hopefully the ones that didnt come prepaid and the club didnt miss out to much.
Now what I really meant to say was all the bikers now are
"Sunday riding, latte drinking, dry weather fucking poofs" that cant hack a real bikers event![]()
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!
'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '
there was a corned silverside meal on sat night to replace the roast dinner available, generally the prepaid turn up, one year on the desert road it was shitty most of the weekend, of the 800 prepaid four tickets weren't turned over at the gate, gate sales that year were down by a lot, once people have paid they'll bust their gut to get there.
ahhh well, down south a little was bloody awesome, rode from riverton through to amberly via the inland route on friday and couldn't have asked for a better day, then trough to conway river for the tough nuts rally via the inland route to kaikora on saturday. awesome wee rally and then a great ride home on sunday, all in all an awesome weekend.
no lattes on sunday but i have to admit to a large flat white tho and rain through the mackenzie country
Have to concur as was right behind him most of the way, awesome weekend (apart from bike issues which is when you find the legends among your mates, I got plenty).
Um..wots with the jaffa's with yer latte, further South they don't give you one?
"If you ever need anything please dont hesitate to ask someone else first.
Anyhoo don't forget to add to calendar 19th May, 27th July, and 31 August.
World whisky day, International whisky day, and Scotch whisky day.
This year's turnout might have been down a bit due to conditions of the site last year.
Was heaps better this year, word will spread I expect.
Day passes are just something else for the organisers to try and do. Poor cunts are busy enough now. Coloured wrist bands is an easy way to make it obvious, but getting folk to police it is still a bitch.
Was a fucken good time this year, I even made it onto the news article. Yay me.
