If we go down the philosophical route (Paging Dr Bandit) - then there is no such thing as irrefutable.

Me personally, I'd say the written and aural testimony of Survivors, captors and liberators, the Physical evidence that backs up their testimony, the Photographic and video evidence that further backs up the testimony and the physical evidence is enough for me to conclude that it happened.
