This year has been a bit ho-hum for me. Next year looks good with Bradl, Laverty and Melandri in the mix. I hope Mrs Melandri makes an appearance.![]()

After doing a bit of reading ,the Calendar is doing no favours to the Series.
I'm wondering what Manu is looking like these days too ??![]()
You'd never go hungry with Nigella Gaz.
If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..
Well, Melandri is only a little bloke so ......

Just watched race 1, not exactly exciting but certainly dramatic. A very emphatic win by Davies.
It reminded me of when Chaz won his world SSP title and was being considered for Welsh Sportsman Of The Year. One of the judges was a rugby man, of course, it was Wales after all, and he was unhappy that no rugby players had been nominated for SOTY. He complained accordingly. He was told that all of the people nominated were Olympic or world champions. "Give us your Welsh world champion rugby player and we'll include him too." End of discussion.
The eventual winner? Chaz Davies. You can imagine all the boyos in the valleys looking at each other, "Who?"

D'ya reckon Rae needs to work on his downshifts a bit. Jesus Christ.
There was Davies... and some other blokes who seemed to be in a different race. Very impressive indeed. He looked like he didn't break sweat.

Little Johnny redeemed himself ,I was pleased to see that.
A little reminder for him for the last 6 races.![]()

That sucked for Sykes. The perspective shift after baby came would have vanished for the rest of yesterday I imagine.
So ,rained in France for the first leg.
Pit stops and juggling tyres just like Motogp
Hopefully tonight we get a straight fight in the dry, fingers crossed ?

I was thinking nobody here was watching. I am sure the commentary team were not watching either. Position changes mentioned a lap late etc. I realise they work on less than ideal conditions but surely one of them must glance at the screen occasionally.![]()

There was a photo posted on Twitter by one of the Brit commentators, facing a blank wall with three laptop sized screens in front of them.
Comments too about the expensive Internet connection. Complaints about connection prices and the reliablity of same are common. Price gouging is alive and well at race circuits and the connection is essential to the journos to get their material out.

Sykes would have had that if the team had have had the tyres ready to fit up when he came in.
