No one can take anything away from MM this season. His performance has been sublime. Sucks for fans to have the season wrapped up already, would have been nice for it to have gone down to the wire, but MM deserved the championship. Simply...you have to finish races to win. Crashes, blown motors...will not win a championship! Also, it's not like the Honda has been flawless; MM had to ride around a fair few challenges at times.
Still a huge Rossi fanboy and always will be, but he was outclassed by MM this year. Hopefully next season will be his turn again! In my heart though, I think that MM is going to be a dominating force for many years to come if he remains in MotoGP. His little blue with Rossi aside, the guy is actually quite good at garnering a support base to. It's impossible not to like the guy.
Nail your colours to the mast that all may look upon them and know who you are.
It takes a big man to cry...and an even bigger man to laugh at that man.
Crasher, do you agree that the quality of Michelin tyres has been inconsistent?
Oh hey, without doubt they've had some rather major issues. But that's hardly surprising really I'd say. But they were having problems in their last season of Moto GP too, and it's hardly a Michelin only issue. You'll recall a certain Phillip Island race being shortened so the tyres would last and not come apart? I think for Old Mate to make a statement like *Fuck Michelin*, shows what a dork he is, and how much he understands the challenge involved for any tyre manufacturer, let alone one coming back into the sport after such a long break.
Hair hair. The amount of lap records that were demolished this year impressed me immensely as they were fresh into it with shittier electronics. Been a blast to watch these pros adapt their styles to suit the different rubber. With 1 years data under their belt (pun) I think next year they will be going quicker than ever before, just don't tell Mike Webb

8 diff winners so far, lap records, many different tyre combos as a legitimate choice (some working better for certain people and bike etc etc) and some fucking incredible racing. So...yeah...fuck Michelin alright. Worst thing that's ever happened to the sport. And as for the crashes! Good Lord! I saw plenty in Moto2 & 3, and they ain't using Michelin. So what does Old Mate think of that then?
Has M.M. been ah, doin' - some real hard-on rubber finesse-type throttle-hand learning on the NSR 500?
That would not be breaking the MotoGP 'no unofficial practice' rule, now would it..
I recall that Casey Stoner's major regret was not getting to master a 500 2T...
Fair enough, Michelin managed to screw up a whole race too this season through (Argentina) so the scoreboard is equal there before you even mention Danilo's rear tyre earlier in the season, Dani's front tyre later in the season and general grumblings. But let's chalk all of that up to first season 'nerves'; how many more seasons would it be acceptable for the current quality of tyres to continue?
