Myself - I'm about Moderation. I'm not going to make an argument based on Medicinal properties, as I believe that I have made my position on that clear in previous threads (if there is an active chemical, lets isolate it, understand how it works and the give the patient a measured dose for their symptoms) - I will say this on Cannabis:

I'd like nothing more than to go to my Local Liquor store, Pay hard earned cash to be buy a reputable product from a reputable company, paying a reasonable percentage in Tax and not financing criminal organizations.

Go home and sit on my Deck, looking up at the stars with a big fat Joint, relaxing after a hard week at work.

Lets not be naive - when it comes to Cannabis, there are negative effects that come with abuse, but then there are negative effects that come with over-consumption of just about anything - including Oxygen poisoning and Water intoxication, as above, Moderation is the key.

Nobody is hiding anything and there never will be a "cure for cancer". Such claims are not only false they disrespect the millions of qualified people searching for effective treatments and the very real progress that's been made in understanding and treating the myriad types of cancer in existence.

That's fair comment. Cancer is not a thing, it's a whole range of things, all of which fit under the same nominal umbrella.

Currently the govt is apparently hot on cardiac risk. Doctors have to quiz their patients about their lifestyle to assess their risk of heart attack. In the unlikely event that patients take notice and modify their lifestyle to reduce the risk of heart attack, it's highly likely deaths from cancer will increase.

It seems humans have a "use by date", despite the best efforts of officialdom we won't all live forever. Sports injuries apart, old dudes will tend to use more of the health budget than young people.

Still, there are civil servants making a very nice living out of this.

Disclaimer: I have no experience of the NZ medical system except as a hopefully patient patient.

Fair comments, too. Having lost family and friends to cancer and now being under investigation myself for "Abnormal cells", I have been to radiology and Oncology wards and spoken to Drs. and Nurses along with studying cancer and it's various causes and treatments myself.

To claim a conspiracy of drug companies wanting to keep us sick by denying access to cancer treatments is the height of ignorance and defames the thousands of researchers/scientists who devote their lives to finding an effective treatment or cure. If cancer was as easy to treat as the CT's say, and all these so-called alternatives worked as people claim they do, cancer would have been eradicated years ago.

As much as I hate to ruin the fun that you seem to be having stating what you believe are my opinions for the record and making up bullshit for extra flavour as you go along, you're wrong as usual. Do carry on though as you're doing a fine job of confirming that in some people it is indeed deserved.

Right with me. You know you could learn things if you weren't so doggedly determined to remain ignorant. Like a few on here, you're so eaten up by prejudice you are forever locked into slavery to bigotry and hate.
