I see what all the sides present, and quite frankly roll my eyes and wonder how anyone anywhere can get to the truth in politics at all. Just like stats can be twisted to suit anyone's agenda, "reality" can be twisted, distorted, he'll, even alternative realities created, and then all delivered in a way that's palatable and believable to the masses.

It's no wonder that people struggle to make informed decisions when so many clamouring propaganda-spouters / conspiracy theorists/ doomsayers/ nutjobs/ forked-tongue pollies with self benefitting agendas etc are all trumpeting their stories via all forms of media!

That mythical concept of "the truth" ( how quaint) will never be the same thing to everyone.

Tis one of them thar outcomes of employing "experts" that supposedly have experience to do the job, because they do so within learned limits. They are unable to look beyond those limits, because that is outwith their job remit and they are bound by the perception of law that they have been indoctrinated with. As such, we end up with history repeating itself as the environment for change simply doesn't exist given the afore mentioned limits that the "experts" don't look past. Tis somewhat ironic that people vote for these so-called "experts" on the sole premise that they have experience in the field that they have chosen and therefore believe that these people will affect the change that is sorely required.
