Getting my old man's bike legal

I posted on here earlier about my dads old 1972 ossa trials bike and its history. Now I've got a decent time frame for getting it fixed and I'm not sure what I need for it to get its WOF and be road legal. I understand that older bikes don't need to fulfill modern standards but I can't find anything on bikes from before the 90s in terms of what it needs. It has a speedo and headlamp but otherwise no indicators or mirrors.

It needs a mirror but doesn't need indicators.

1. The vehicle is not fitted with at least one rear-view mirror.

Indicators:

1. A motorcycle first registered in New Zealand on or after 1 January 1978, other than one that is exempted (Table 4-5-1) is not fitted with:

a) one pair of lamps to the front, and

b) one pair of lamps to the rear.

2. A motorcycle first registered in New Zealand before 1 January 1978 is fitted with more than:

a) one pair of lamps to the front, or

b) one pair of lamps to the rear, or

c) two side-facing lamps on each side of the motorcycle.

Note the second one needs to be read in legal speak (the difference between INCLUSIVE and EXCLUSIVE language is important). The old legislative interpretation paper came in handy here: If your bike was first registered after 1978 you need to have indicators (inclusive statement). Therefore if your bike is registered before 1978 you don't need indicator lamps. If you do have indicator lamps you cannot have more than one pair front or rear.

Other things:
You don't need a stop lamp switch on both brakes, and I'm not 100% sure if you need a stop lamp at all.
You don't need a brake declaration.
