    New motorcycle

I'm feeling like a bit of an egg but quite happy too. Decide to look down Barry's Point Rd and there's no parking so park at the supermarket and walk towards the bike shops. First bike I pass is outside the KTM shop and is an older Super Duke. Ask to have a look and make a dick of myself when I go to put my feet on the pegs, while the motor is running and knock it into first where upon, as you would expect it stalls with a loud clunk. Salesman is not impressed and wants me to get off it because he thinks I'm some kind of idiot, which I am, but I bought the fucking thing anyway. So to sum up, I bought the very first bike I saw. Didn't take it for a test ride. Made a cunt of myself but if it's ready tomorrow I will be the proud owner of a black 2005 KTM Super Duke 990. Always wanted one but am concerned I am reaching my mid life crisis. Finally I say. Better than a fucking Harley!

You could do worse than a SD Mate! I loved the older version, was considering the R model, think they had one at the old Redbaron in Alicetown years ago. Post some pics.

I was expecting I accidentally kicked it in gear which then it jerked forward hitting the next bike and knocking it over!

Nothing wrong with a Super Duke. Just be careful when you mention mid life crisis on here, some will want to put you on medication for that

Picked the bike up today in our beautiful Auckland Christmas traffic and decide to go back out west through Greenhithe. So get off the motorway on the Constellation off ramp and just doing some cautious filtering through traffic. See a huge bright orange Harley behind and can hear a second one somewhere and he is just following me. Filter through to the front of Caribean Drive lights and swing over to the rhs so these other guys can get to the front too as a matter of good manners.Lights go and I let them go and they are both patched 81 so I think good on me for my being polite. So I just tucked in behind the big hole they made for me all the way to Westgate kind of pretending I was with them.
