Puig said exactly the opposite in his interview... seemed pretty straightforward and upfront about it.
Oh, I didn't see that. I'll have to go and watch some of the after race interviews etc, I was too busy laughing and trying to calm my wife down (she wanted to disqualify most of the field at the start of the race lol).

Rossi wasn't even penalised for that IIRC and to make matters worse the marshals got him and his bike push started first and only vaguely tried to help Stoner who never got going again in the end. Rossi has always been the privileged one and as crasher says he has taken to whining now that things aren't always going his way.

As for this latest start, one interpretation could be that technically they moved the pit lane out to the back of the grid if the rules only allowed for the start from pitlane, so maybe it was okay for MM to loop to the back.

Not quite, Rossi was pinned under his bike and as such was the priority for the marshals.

That's a pretty good write up and he's right, there was definitely a lack of respect shown.

It was the same last time around, Dani Pedrosa won and mostly got ignored. That was a complete lack of respect from the press, all they wanted to talk about was Rossi/Marquez.

That's going to be one of the best attended Safety Commission meetings for a while. Shame they don't allow cameras in there.

Sure did show a good performance! He can go home this week and say he finished 42 seconds ahead of 3 times World Champion on a factory team.

.. and if they were both pinned under their bikes who do you think they would have helped first anyway even though Rossi was the one that made the mistake?

Just watched recorded Moto GP last night.
What a friggen joke Moto GP is becoming, just like our MNZ. Jack Miller was robbed he clearly took the gamble on slicks , the race had been declared WET, the other teams had made their call, to late, Pit lane was ClOSED, the race should have started with all on the grid, then once the White flag was showen for PIT Lane OPEN then and only then could the riders come in and do the change, just like its always been, Millar and Morbidelli would have romped away with possibly the win, changing rules to suit others is a joke and calling it a saftey issue is beyond me, race control needs their arse kicked. Now that Dorna own WSB are we going to see simalar happen. Dont won't to mention MM .

Yeah some good results amongst the carnage. Unfortunately I was screaming at the TV for Crutchlow/Miller/Rins to beat the Dirty French *insert expletive here* most the race so missed most of the results at the end as I had to fuck off for work as they crossed the line.

Rins is going to be head hunted soon I think, I just hope he has the smarts to stick with Suzuki as that bike looks fully competitive.

Considering the very limited time Syarin has had on the bike he's making great progress.

Weird that Miller is behaving with the most grace and maturity of the whole grid. Didn't see that coming but good on him.

Yep! Now answer me this. What penalty did Rossi get? Points for 5th place I think from memory? Stoner? Left on the side of the track for no points. Now Laguna Seca 2010 I think it was. Rossi cutting the track, running into the side of Stoner. Penalty? The race win after he brake checked Stoner. Penalty? 25 points for the win. So you see, I think it's a bit rich for Rossi himself to be moaning. And another thing for the haters. Anyone that's been round a while watching this sport, may well (they'll certainly remember it if they did see it) remember the first race back at Phillip Island on the 500's. Four riders trading paint and getting rubber marks all over their leathers. It's always been hailed as one of the greatest races ever (actually, PI was like that last years as well). So what the fuck has happened between then and now? I'll tell ya. A guy a lot hate, is beating up on a guy most love, and when the shoe is on the other foot, they simply don't like it. As for Rossi rarking up the officials and basically the whole world...how many body guards do you think MM will need in Italy? Is that really where we want the sport to go? Is that cool? Not even. He knows how much clout he has.

I'd have to agree regarding Miller. If you had money on him at the TAB you'd have every right to feel pretty ripped off too. Not sure he would've won, but he prob would've had a very good chance of it. I wouldn't want old Oscars mates job right now.

Brief but interesting comments by Ezpeleta. He referred to the start chaos being handled by the stewards and was quick to point out that Dorna no longer appoint the stewards. The stewards are nominated by the FIM and the IRTA. It may be that Race Direction are taking some flak unjustly.
