    The politics are absolutely relevant....

If more actual facts were reported ... there would be less (no) bias involved. Bias gets people talking and facts shut people up ...

Labels aren't that great ... (eg) Hooker or Hospitality manager. It's who attaches the labels that say the most ...
    Lol.

    Point well made :P

Why? A double standard is observable by the direct actions/words, to go digging around for secondary factors implying intent or causal relationships simply shows there is no observable double standard as you claim.

My bias is towards tolerance and happiness, try it sometime...

But as I said ' in my experience' was based on work experience with vocal aggrieved 'clients'. ( You have to be there)

Outside of work it's a different story.

Another year will see me not having to deal with the 'in my experience' types.....

Only New Zealanders exhibit tribal xenophobic behaviour?

"Human" is the correct noun, there.

Just as an interesting aside which is sort of relevant to the original topic, I learned last night (or did I re-learn?) where the term 'third world' comes from.

There isn't a 'First' or Second' world ... just a 'Third'. It was a phrase coined in the Cold War to describe nations who were not allied with either NATO or the Communist Bloc. EG, Ireland was 'third world' because it supported neither side. Of course the term has been hijacked now to mean something else but just thought I'd share.

    Countdown to stop plastic bags.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/...ectid=12046543

I recall them banning them when I lived in Ireland....2003.

Oh and China does't want our piles of plastic either.

    https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/a...ectid=12031913

New Zealand previously shipped 15 million tonnes of waste plastic alone to Chinese processing plants each year.
I remember in the late 80's Germans taking all the surplus packaging off their shopping and leaving it at the Supermarket.

I do that almost every time I buy something from any actual shop.

Good to see the plastic bags gone too.
