Hi All
I'm curious about the Himalayan. Who's ridden one and/or bought one? What do you think of it as an easy-to-manage adventure bike for bimbling around NZ on? Good bits, bad bits, bits you've changed - The usual plaese.
Thanks![]()

don't buy one, theyre not even made/sold anymore due to the shitness from start to finish.... it will be re-released in india in a few years once they've ironed out the kinks not only in desgin but in manufacturing...
if you want a cheap, easy to manage adventure bike that will take you places very few other bikes can, buy a XTZ125 !
For similar money you could get a KLR650. Nice on the road, not quite as nice on serious off-road but perfectly adequate of gravel roads and the like. They've been around more or less forever so heaps of knowledge (internet so some good, some bad) and an enormous aftermarket parts and accessories market. Better engine, LAMs approved if that matters. About the only thing the RE has over the KLR is EFI. Whether that is good or not is another matter.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

Thanks for that. I'll take a look.
