All I'm going to say is this:

Regardless of what may or may not have been on the Clinton private email server, in ANY corporate Organization that I have worked in - deliberately bypassing the Corporate IT security Policy is grounds for instant dismissal (and I have been involved a couple of times in gathering the proof of such things that has directly results in people having their employment terminated).

Whilst I don't 100% know the exact details of US IT Policy at a governmental level - I'd be willing to bet that there is a similar provision - that deliberately bypassing IT Security Policy is grounds for severe action(s)

The only obvious conclusion is that it was being done to bypass the official State Dept system which had to be fully recorded.

The dumb shit some of these people do is almost unbelievable. Manafort, currently in jail, was reportedly interfering with witnesses apparently with the assistance of his lawyers. All very secret - except that he had opted to save his emails to the cloud.

but thats it though, if you receive or send a message to anyone in the state department it is still recorded on the state department server. The main issue i see with it is a hacking security risk with a private server, which means all the indiscretions of the trump administration are in essence exactly the same. Or worse because they are also knowingly doing so after all the shitstorm in the media using a private server for official documents,But don't worry the trump administration is investigating their own people so expect a real robust investigation.
