Fair to say that those looks won't appeal to everybody. I was happy enough with how my K100RS looked at the time.

Many years ago a wise man told me that if interested in collecting, a good choice would be an unusual model from a popular manufacturer. The K1 fits that criterion at least.

Would the RE 5 fall into the same group?

There was a couple on recently for about 10K

Guess he would have thought that qualified. I can remember what one road test said back in the day, they recommended that even if you didn't want to buy one you should try and get a ride on one.

I'd pay 16 for that if I could afford to.

I'd be interested to have a ride on one, never rode a 2 stroke tourer, same with the Rotary.
If only there was not someone who bought them up and you could hire them for weekends.

Thats far too nice to chop, but I love the Rune and all sorts of custom Gold wings. I really loved jasonu's one on here with the monoshock and velocity stacks.

You know those CZeta scooters? This has similar lines. all it needs is custom bodywork

There are no words to describe how unnaturally hideous that thing is. But I shall try. If that motorbike was a person it'd be Caitlyn Jenner in a thong after a long hot sauna.
    Are you 12?

If it is in decent shape I think $5.5k is a bit of a bargain and shirley worth a punt investment wise.

    Very true.
I sold mine after only 6 months, and got a grand more than I paid for it.
Five and a half for a coloured one is 'kin cheap.

I think the red one has way better eye appeal than the blue one , however quite quirky , and therefore I'm sure some interest...

The K1 was kinda iconic and like a spaceship.
