If they hang in there they will eventually break even at worst.
Selling in a downturn is the behaviour of the desperate or easily spooked.
A lot of farmers brought at near 100% do the maths using the equity thye had in other farms the secnd farm along with the first is worth significantly less now so they owe more than 100% of its worth.
The bubble most certainly burst, the only reason more here were not wond up is the banks couldn't find a buyer in such a depressed market.
You need to remember these farms have also been running at a loss for likely 6 of the last 8 years.
There is a lot of variability in the intelligence levels of any industry, But you need to consider in boom times you have banks tripping over themselves to lend money to farmers.
Selling isn't necessary a desperation thing but you need to consider the average age of farm owners is likely near the Pension limits.

Correct, there are ways of doing the walls, but this isn't compulsory.

How about we stay on topic with the fuel tax for a moment?
Same as the rent rises, it's only going to hurt the low income sector, the same gullible munters that voted her in.
I couldn't care less, my compulsory fuel bill is around $20 per week, anything else is whimsical.

Just when you think Paddy "forrest gump" Gower couldnt go any lower in the journalism stakes he comes out with another load of crap.

He's trying to say now because phillip arps made some comments about slitting Winnies throat at a anti UN migration compact rally he's somehow connected to Nationals Simon Bridges because the Nats to want to get rid of that rubbish as well.

They are also saying its connected back to generation identity europe and that is also connected to simon somehow....

This is nothing more than leftist propaganda hit piece..

They are drawing a really long bow to make any connection to Bridges. More tomorrow he reckons, will we see what these connections are?

Winston has finally lost all his marbles here. Calling on Simon to resign (he should but not for this). Simon better show some balls and go after these two muppets.

If they weren't running around being Santa Claus to the downtrodden & paying 200million plus for guns they don't need they wouldn't have to find another bean.

So why did national have to borrow all that money without doing that then?
200 million for a gun buy back is a one off cost to make NZ safer for ever, its only a few john key flag referendums.
the one terrorist attack cost will likely be higher than 200 million.

    But Nashnil.
The problem with the gun buyback is that even an idiot can see it's going to pan out the same as kiwi build.
It's the Labour way, over promise & under deliver.

Odd that the gun law and buy back worked in Aussie.
If the last crowd have have listed to the recommendations from there own committees and the police on gun laws and reform we would 't need to be doing this shit.
Ps you never said why we had to borrow all that money over tha last 9 years now you moan about a government that balances the books.

I'm simply pointing out their ineptitude to those that aren't following it closely. I see you're a bit lonely in here these days standing up for your girlfriend.
Maybe Australia managed their buyback properly.
All I'm hearing you say is "ram it in Jacinda"

I thought of you when I watched that. Given your on line stance, I'd be prepared to bet various police and intelligence services already know your name.

It'll be interesting to see how long you continue to have internet access. Your idol Trump will lose his twitter followers once he's locked up too.
