I have actually rapidly hated someone and it takes a hell of a lot of time and energy, and I'm sure not going to waste that on Trump. The key word in your sentence there is "some" and sure he has done "some" good work. And a shit ton of bad work.

To add to that - My Wife (who has Voted Greens, National and Labour - go figure) is really pissed off at the Greens, I told her when she voted that she was in effect voting for the Communist party of NZ, She voted for them because she likes the sound of some of their environmental policies (and to be really fair, I think the Greens Public transport policy was the most well thought out) - and now they've shown their true colours in power (being a bunch of Rabid SJW Marxists that don't love the environment, they just hate Capitalism), she'll never vote for them again. Which is good on two fronts, the most important of course being winning an argument with my Wife.

There were many many alternatives and alternatives that would have gotten widespread support from the Firearms community.

But she went with the most vindictive, punitive measure possible - Finally her and her Cronies had the tragedy and corpses they needed to ram Firearm changes through. I'll never forgive her or anyone tangentially associated with that for it.

On top of that, although I thought her initial actions after the event were full of Empathy etc. What she did subsequently has convinced me that it was nothing more than a well-rehearsed act in order to further her international agendas.

As for no need - Need is a very flimsy rationale on which to base Laws. You don't 'Need' a car, you don't 'need' a swimming pool, you don't 'need' DIY etc. etc.

Depends on what you consider a good brand or not. The fact we had all heard of it well before his run for the Presidency, on some level, means it's a good brand - it's got recognition and therefore value. I personally don't care for what the Brand is selling or represents.

There's some differences to be fair, the biggest being that SARS was much more visible when it was contagious and therefore much easier to isolate and quarantine. There's also some murmurings (and to be clear I consider these as conjecture at best) that the high number of cases is down more to China's inaction on the initial spread of infection and then certain countries, like Italy, making bad calls.

Looking at the news this morning, the Death rate is around 3-4% - Which is bad, I don't want people to die, but remember when I said anything over 5% I'd be concerned with.

Me too, but for different reasons - The Green voter base IMO comes in 2 flavours: The Communists (who I don't like) and people who would like to see things like Cleaner rivers, less (or none) use of 1080 etc. The latter voters (from what I've seen) having seen what the Greens have (or more specifically have not) done when in power are disillusioned with them.

Yes, the did. And they can Fuck off too. Although they have opposed the second round, having started to see some semblence of sense, but they can still Fuck off.

As for Vindictive and premeditated - The NZ Police have been trying to re-interpret the laws for a better part of a Decade and when Firearm owners challenged them, the courts repeatedly bitch-slapped the NZ Police. Pre-meditated because those sets of law changes have been on the books for years - some inside sources have suggested that they were drafted as far back as 2017/2018.

I say Vindictive because the entire 'buy back' process by which you had to watch your personal property get destroyed, whilst flanked by armed Police was ENTIRELY a show of force designed to kowtow those evil Firearm loving Owners.

I agree it's killed more - but I think there are a number of factors related to why that is that are not due to the disease itself.

Apparently the adjusted fatality rate in Wuhan is around 1%, which again, is bad - I don't want people to die - but we aren't talking the end of civilisation here. The Benchmark IMO will be to see what happens in places like NZ, USA, UK etc. in the next coming months.
