Well that fits close enough to my numbers. 800km is close to the TS maximum range. Let’s say at 365 days a year single shifted subtract a few public holidays and other down time then a thousand recharge cycles after daily maximum range use of 800km and BOOM it’s ferked after three years.

And if we factor in the classic 80% real world lifespan vs any manufacturer claim and im bang on the money. Never mind that about halfway through all that it’s likely the battery will not be performing at its original capacity. This is well documented science for all battery types.

I don't know what the Tesla semi battery life is and it is obviously several times larger than a Tesla ev

I would say, that most of the cost is in the battery, so if it's 200k to 300k it should be 2 to 5 times the size of a Tesla model Y battery

But who the hell is going to drive a car 800,000 kms in 3years?

I'd be looking at between 1.6mil km to 3mil Kms before the Tesla Semi needs a battery replacement, depending on which model you order.

My guess is Tesla won't find out until the first Tesla models do these Kms over the next 5 to 10 years.

Man, I got to give it up to truck drivers who have to drive 800km a day, everyday, sometimes outside legal driving guidelines , I'm tired just thinking about it.

Thank goodness for the massive advancements in Tesla full self driving, imagine how advanced it will be when the Tesla Semi reaches New Zealand!

Now all these truck drivers can have a long deserved
    restful holiday forever.

    Ain't capitalism a bitch..

The tesla semi according to Musk himself admits it doesn't use the latest Ys Panasonics 4680-type cells it uses the older Panasonic 2170
as a self proclaimed tesla expert we would expect you to know this......
i am picking you didn't even know let alone will admit they use simple generic Panasonic cells....

Also you keep prattling on about the semis charging in 45 minutes this is what Elon hypes unconfirmed with a 1 mega watt charger of which there are as far as we can ascertain 3 in the world. This is one at a time btw....
Just a few more things a self appointed tesla expert might be expected to know.

Same with the claims you made about telsa vision not having cameras on multiple occasions , its odd that teslas says it does but you who claims to be a Teslas expert does not know this

You edited the post twice while I had your quote in reply box.... Someone else in this thread also edited their reply DÉJÀ VU.... very interesting nothing like actual actions to confirm suspicions..... DEJA VUE.....

Your original hurried post had a line about how would a car do that with some incorrect maths of “ nearly 2000km a day. While I was confirming your wild error that equaled 2.1 million km instead of 800,000 that line was gone from quote window. So I chose not to mention that, far enough of retracted quickly.

I quoted your whole post autonupdated to your first edit but note it doesn’t contain your second edits done after the fact....

So I never “ jumped the gun” just merely got the crime scene promptly photographed before the offender returned unaware they were under surveillance....,

Hoho ho what interesting times we live in..... DEJA VUE......

Perhaps not the second Tweet, but the first tweet is borderline prescient.

    Agree 100%

When your the wealthiest man in history, you have insight to all the corruption in the political and corporate world, I stand by my previous statement, Musk needs a succession plan, he's going to be taken out.

Fried bankman Bankman-Fried wants to do it all over again to make things right. Will Stupid World let him? Go on gatekeepers of commerce, give him a go, don't be consistent and Madoff his ass or anything... coz that sets a bad example and further erodes confidence in the numberous ponzi schemes that are hyped, paid gig of course, by the bankers and 'rockstars' of the world. That the people of the world don't just buy into it, well... .

Go on, let him have another go.

    The panic was dumb.

He hoped it would be over given the trend information he had seen. (we all did)

The trend was wrong. In this case though, I much prefer wrong over lying to entire populations that a jab will prevent transmission, just like the ones the producers of the vaccines told to governments about transmission and testing protocols... admitted by the manufacturers too.

    You watch too much Corro.

Then you should be the successor. You know more about it than anyone in NZ. He wants to build a new Giga factory somewhere creating jobs and showcasing NZ's tech friendly side when it come to climate change etc.... National love that shit. Go on. You're our only hope.
