Peterson sometimes says things just to be controversial. That's probably one such. "Fucking moron" is probably a more accurate assessment of Trump. It's true he does have a certain cunning though.

Y'all may remember the video clip of Trump at the site of his new golf course saying that he was leaving Ireland early to travel back the US to 'confront' E Jean Carrol in court. All bullsht of course, he would have been fully aware that it was already too late to do that, but he may have been planning a motion for a mistrial on the grounds that he was prevented from testifying in his defence.

The judge heard about his speech Thursday US time, and gave Trump until 5PM Sunday to request an appearance. SURPRISE! The deadline has passed and reports indicate that no such application has been received.

This is something I came across as I was waking up this morning. Chris Whipple, the author of a book on Biden's presidency was being interviewed. He mentioned a New Zealander which made me prick my ears up. It transpires that in the final stages of Trump's presidency this kiwi played a major role. Lots of celebrating...

Just consider this - at some point - whether it's in 2024 or beyond, the Republicans will be back in power - and the Dems have set the standards of dubious claims, civil prosecutions, claims of insurrection etc. etc.

So when the inevitable revenge comes (and it will be revenge) - I want to hear no complaining from the Democrat side about how unfair the Republicans are being.

Trump is telling his followers on what's left of Troth Senshall (his description) that he was not permitted to defend himself. He's lying. Then again, he lied in his deposition and the jury could see that. Didn't take the jury too long for their deliberations either, so it's not as if they had any serious doubts.

The amount awarded could be five million? We'll see... but first the appeal? Assuming he can find a lawyer to take the case and who won't mind not being paid.

You want me to believe that this lady was sexually assaulted in 1996 by Trump has waited this long, not for Justice, but for a payout... And before a presidential cycle.

On the face of it, the claim is dubious at best - when all the other circumstances are added to it, it smells.

The judge in the case brought against Trump by DA Bragg in New York has issued a gag order against Trump.

The order is in three parts:
Trump will be permitted to access some evidence. He is not to publicly discuss or disseminate any evidence in public.
Other categories of evidence Trump is permitted to see only under supervision of his legal team, he is not permitted to retain it in his possession.
Trump is not permitted any access to any evidence obtained from cellphones.

Such orders are normally only issued against crime bosses, great company he's keeping. In this case it's designed primarily to prevent further stochastic terrorism, interfering with witnesses, and polluting of the jury pool.
