Anyone who has elderly parents or relatives around the age of Biden (and no, 80 isn't the new 70, just like 50 isn't the new 40 etc etc, we all age differently) wouldn't find his senior moments in the least bit surprising.

Yes he's mildly cognitively impaired, but it's minor and perfectly normal for someone his age. Personally it doesn't concern me that he's still president, Reagan was getting pretty dotty towards the end of his presidency as well from what I remember, there's still enough people around them to get the job done, and I've no doubt he can focus well enough when he needs to.

I'd give Trump the same leeway, he's no spring chicken either, if he has the occasional slip up, doesn't mean he's not up to the job. Pretending Trump or Biden are in their prime is yet another example of both sides 'stretching' the truth, although I imagine in both cases their egos might be somewhat involved.

In a statement to Newsweek, Karoline Leavitt, Trump's national press secretary, said: "Kamala's supporters are reaching all-time lows. Social media posts show that genuine Trump supporters identified these idiots as liberal activists trying to create fake news. They clearly responded accordingly."

In a statement to Newsweek, the Anti-Defamation League said: "OBS is a small neo-Nazi network primarily based in Florida that distributes propaganda and holds in-person demonstrations to spread their white supremacist ideology.
OBS was formed in early 2023 by long time affiliates of Florida's overlapping white supremacist network."

The advocacy group StopAntisemitism wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that one of the people on the boat was "known antisemite Jon Minadeo II." It added that other people present were "his cronies from the GDL (Goyim Defense League)," which the Southern Poverty Law Center classified as a neo-Nazi group.

The boat NAZI's were just in trouble for Shouting the quiet part out loud, especially so close to the election. MAGA = NAZI
But they were Denounced - Again, something you said did not happen.

If you scrolled further down in the article you would find this section:

(Leavitt for reference is Karoline Leavitt, Trump's national press secretary)

Leavitt said Trump himself "abhors the hatred implied in these images." She called such behavior "unacceptable" and "against everything President Trump stands for."

She also said Trump had worked to expand the Civil Rights Act to protect Americans from antisemitism, referencing a 2019 executive order.

"President Trump is steadfast in the fight against bigotry," Leavitt said, adding that Trump would "restore our nation's greatness."

This is one issue that *could* recieve bi-partisan support, I have seen many commentators, both Right and Left talk about this, with gerontocracy thrown around.

Both sides can agree with the idea of Term Limits - the issue is that very often there are a number of [s]walking corpses[/s] indentured persons that such a limit would affect - and neither side can risk loosing them for fear of loosing influence.

    Case in point:

A Poll by David Pakman (Democrat left-winger, but not full on Progressive or Woke)

    and

    Razorfist (More right than me)

Both sides want Term limits.... But generally only for their opposition.

I Read It!...just 'Weasel Words'......Leavitt is still referring to the "liberal activists" she blamed for the incident.

The trump position is clearly described in this “the enemy from within” statement: https://edition.cnn.com/2024/10/13/p...day/index.html

CNN- Former President Donald Trump suggested using the military to handle what he called “the enemy from within” on Election Day, saying that he isn’t worried about chaos from his supporters or foreign actors, but instead from “radical left lunatics.”

“I think the bigger problem are the people from within. We have some very bad people. We have some sick people. Radical left lunatics,” Trump said told Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo in an interview on “Sunday Morning Futures.”

“I think it should be very easily handled by, if necessary, by National Guard, or if really necessary, by the military, because they can’t let that happen,” he added. .... MAGA=NAZI

But it is still a denouncement.

What was it you said - ah yes:

Whether or not you believe the Trump campaign view that these individuals were liberal activists (all Fascists were former Socialists ) or not - the fact is, they were denounced by both Trump and the Trump campaign - something you said did not happen.

This follows the same pattern as the tweet you posted in the opening exchange: Someone posts something and says Trump or Maga or Republicans dont oppose it, therefore Nazis.

I then post up the very opposition that was claimed not to exist - thus refuting the premise and therefore the conclusion - yet you still hold the same conclusion.

    2 assassination attempts on Trump.
    0 on Kamala.

I think that alone is justification and proof of which side is the bigger threat.

    Another "weave" lie:

“John Deere … announced about a year ago they’re gonna build big plants outside of the United States. Right? They’re going to build them in Mexico,” Trump told the Economic Club of Chicago Tuesday. “I said, ‘If John Deere builds those plants, they’re not selling anything into the United States.’ They just announced yesterday they’re probably not going to build the plants, OK? I kept the jobs here.”

But the company had made no such announcement, CNN reported Wednesday, finding nothing in any media reports or John Deere’s corporate releases. A spokesperson for the company confirmed to The Wall Street Journal Tuesday that they hadn’t made any such announcements or changed their plans to shift some of their production.

    Is it?

Sept. 25, 2024 - Trump threatens Deere with 200% tariffs if it shifts manufacturing to Mexico

    then

Sep. 26, 2024 - John Deere: ‘We are not moving production to Mexico’

Those two news stories (neither of which appear to be from a particularly partisan source) could easily be read as supporting Trumps claim.

This one where each claim can be true, depending on a certain viewpoint.

It seems to be fairly widely reported elsewhere that some manufacturing is being moved to Mexico.

So the statement by Trump that they are planning to build plants outside the US is true, and old news, but that they are now not going to do this because of what he said is bollocks.

Oddly, the article reporting the response to Trump's statements, that John Deere are not moving production to Mexico, states that they are moving some production to Mexico.....

It appears that Trump and John Deere management are equally confused, and equally ok with making statements that aren't true.

That announcement was made in 2022, affecting approximately 250 jobs at the Waterloo plant. Deere announced the work would be moved to Ramos Component Works in Mexico. That transition will be completed this year. By 2026, Deere will do the same for mid-size skid steers and CTLS.

I disagree with the part about him saying it being bollocks (obviously) - because there is a perspective that there is an element of truth to it (as per the headline).

I would imagine though the proof will be what John Deere does (not necessarily says) after the election, if Trump wins and we curiously see no scaling up of Manufacturing in Mexico, then I think we can safely infer that there is a nugget of truth to Trumps side of the story.

I think in all reality, John Deere are trying to say just enough that it can be interpreted by either side as supporting their view - as they neither want to piss off their primary customers (who are most likely Trump fans) or their Investors (The biggest being Bill Gates).

With a sufficient shade of grey, both sides can claim it as black or white.

    You have to laugh
He makes a claim that isn't true then claims they changed the mind about it and it was because of him. claiming the lie being caught out as a win.

Almost like how he can cherry pick his claims about being responsible for things that happened after his defeat and then then deny responsibility for what happened that was bad during and after his term. This is not even including the hundreds the false claims he makes.

What is pathetic is his supporters are stupid enough not to see through this.
Then again I guess it should be expected .As they are stupid enough to support him.

Heres a simple explanation for you:

Trump said: no don’t build a full manufacture plant in Mexico!

Full manufacture = lots of parts made together to make a tractor!

Current JD full manufacture plants in Mexico: 0!

Future full manufacture plants in Mexico: Spokesperson confirms 0!

Please read the post you quote before offering an opinion to my what my posts say, As you are currently actively proving the last two sentences to be correct. Cheers.
