miss the ole KB days and need a ride more... this week a wee KB ride, BuelBabe, AJturbo, Sugilite and fuck face Dangerous...
Ahem - I have questions in regards to the legitimacy of this ride being run under the moniker of a "KB Ride".

Comparing it to the benchmark of the last KB ride I partook in (One of the infamous KB coro loop rides circa 2006) and witnessing first hand everything listed below...
    1. Riders running off the road and crashing on full visibility perfect road condition sweepers.
    2. Cartwheeling 250 2 strokes race replicas
    3. Riders running off on corners and ending up upright but stuck in a ditch.
    4. Stop offs at pubs for a few beers halfway through the ride!

Not only was this latest ride severely lacking in key areas listed above, in addition I was forced to endure the following.
    1. Very competent riders on well maintained bikes.
    2. Great lines with sensible fun pace being held by all.
    3. Excellent conversation with a great group of riders, while enjoying beverages after the ride.
    4. A laugh a minute reliving old times.

    Try harder guys! FFS

P.S. Cheers for the great ride guys, and thanks for letting this norfeyelander tag along for that leg of your ride

and there you have the difference between a "KB ride" and a "south Is KB ride"

Only 4 bikes outside the pub! How is the road sealing coming along? NZTA said it would be finished by Christmas, but they still had a lot to do when we did the ride in September.

I normally avoid daytime supermarket excursions but an empty fridge forced the need.

You could see every bad driving habit and dithering behaviour that creates gridlock on our roads amplified by the inherent lack of acceleration present in human powered processed food cage.
So I think to weed out the bad drivers we shall just have the testing officer take them to PaknSave and they have to return to the vehicle within 7 minutes with two bags of groceries.
Of course this may open up a little opportunity for corruption but at least it will be the quick thinkers ending up on the road.

That reminds me leaving a small South Island town during morning “rush hour”. Thought we’d get away a bit early to cover some big km’s.
But oh no Aunty running the til knows everybody in town. So it’s a 20min family reunion session of how’s uncle Arthur, is Doris out of hospital yet, have you seen bob and Marge’s new campervan.
Took longer to pay for the gas than pumping it, checking tyres and cleaning visor.

Pay at the pump must be one of the great developments in recent years for motorcycling. But on any group ride, you know that about half of the riders will go inside to pay and one or two will buy food or drink, so that what could take a few minutes becomes a 15-20 minute stop.

    It's not Friday. I don't care.

My fucking house and garage got robbed.

I reckon I could choke someone to death right now.

I am surprised. Still in the house up a drive on back section?

    Someone knew what was there.

List anything which might be resold here - I'm sure we'll keep watch.
