I suspect the realisation Pecco is slowly coming to is that while he is fast, he is not MM fast, or even FQ fast. I reckon you put fabio quartararo on Pecco's bike and him and MM would be having a good old battle every week. They're saying that the gp24 guys are riding the exact same speed as Pecco was last year, which seems to reflect that sentiment.
Yes, I thought Pecco's comment about Marc being fast on a tractor was telling, and also the point that Marc hasn't ridden the GP24.

Marc was fast on the GP25 from Day 1. I don't think much development to suit him has gone on, but Pecco has been focused on regaining his "feel", and Digia has been recovering from injury, so they've probably only had consistent feedback from Marc so far.

My guess is the GP25 as debuted for the tests was a dog and the modified bike they are racing is still not great, although it may have a slight power advantage. But hopefully Ducati can give Pecco something he can go fast on, otherwise it could be a long season.

Yep, I suspect its gonna be a long reason for Pecco regardless.. the Marquez brothers, if they finish 1&2 at the end of the season will create some kinda history that will likely never be repeated, ever. That will be something to witness I guess!

From the GPOne website - couldn't cut and paste so here's a screenshot. He makes a good point, starting the race with riders on slicks and wets was not clever, and led to the crash that took out Pecco and nearly Zarco.

wow, that's right, it's a reverse of the Thailand race, that never occurred to me.

I think race direction where letting the new rules play out and setting a line in the sand " this is the future"
Because 10 running off the grid was a joke. Now riders have to stand by their decisions even if it is a weather lottery.
They bought it on themselves a bit. I must say it was interesting.
Peccos decision not to stay out on wets lost him time, Miller stayed out and fell off on wets, everyone the chose slicks was wrong, Zarco stayed out and won.

Race direction is Damned if they do or don't.
On a Motorcycle you're penetrating distance, right along with the machine!! In a car you're just a spectator, the windshields like a TV!!

'Life's Journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out! Shouting, ' Holy sh!t... What a Ride!! '

The gear shift on his bike was damaged in his crash so he had to swap bikes, then change again when it really started to rain. He could have been near the front otherwise.

It's true apparently. There are photos of him in civvies at Le Mans, and the source is legit apparently.

There aren't many options available next year. Honda already have 6 riders if the rumours of who they are going to sign are true!
