Back doing the instructing thing last century, I remember some clown wannabee biker showed up on a Hardly Ableson as he didn't have a licence . Said we could ignore the bigger than 250 for course but not the lack of gloves.
Said he needed the extra 'Feel' on controls.
Just go grab some gloves bud.
Never saw him again.
Guess he tells that story where he told The Man (volunteers) where to stick it. No one tells Big Nigel what to wear. Didn't need any riding training anyway.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
Have you considered contacting one of the motorcycle training providers, they might be able to find a new home for your surplus gear.
I got rid of a pair of pants a while ago on bookface for a nominal fee (not free to reduce the number of idiots to deal with), they needed a new home as had shrunk while hanging in the garage not being used.
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

That's not uncommon. Dusty (iconic Leda leathers) confirmed that to a mate. It happens.

I have mine.
And the one before that. I had to get a section put in the sides and arms as I bought it off a mate when I was a teenager.
Sold under a brand name, out riding so can't check, through Scooter centre as they did in the day.
Kept it for the wife as she had many layers of clothing.
Actually Pete I'm at Pieshop cafe and owners asked after you just as I type this and to say hi.

Yeah I was racing solos at Te Marua at the time. Previously I had a one piece vinyl suit made by Thompsons in Palmerston north - looked ok but shredded pretty much the first time i came off. There was another place in Petone who was making leathers, not sure how I got onto Leda but he made them for $100. Blue bottom half, red top and white arms. There have been a few repairs done (patches to the left knee, replacement zip) in the 20 odd years I was racing but in the main they are still good, other than the lining all ripped. Still got the same boots and helmet bought at the same time - Ashmans "Red Devils" and Bell Star 120.
As far as being the first full suit, I recall hearing Dusty say this but, hearing and memory being what they were and are, could be wrong
