Bike is in more pieces than a Lego set... well, not really... I thought of that line and just wanted to use it... tail section and tank cover are off (tank cover has a nice dent from where I climbed onto the right-hand side of the bike while the left-hand side was making scratchy noises against the road, and the tail section..... yeah, that's pretty screwed.
Not sure what to do about the generator / generator cover... team Honda is coming over in a bit (Sidewinder/Carver/Crazy Steve), so they might help me set my bike on fire, in which case it won't need any repairing...

About the "don't do it again", I plan to try avoid that, by learning how to use my rear brake better, and also: I'm getting a crash cage (if I can ever get my bike started again)

What parts are you after? Is a crashed cover any good to you? Yeah it's crashed, but you repaired the last one alright didn't ya? I'm sure I've seen one lying about in a friends garage somewhere (he has a couple of FZR400s spread over three houses... finding anything is a mission, but...). I'll see him tonight for the motogp, I can mention that you need some bits if you have a list (don't expect much to come of it though, there's a reason why 2 bikes are spread over 3 houses).

Yeah, it's the generator cover (which runs dry, so nothing is gonna go leaking out of it... it's just a big spinny thing that spins when the engine is turning over, and currently it sitting without a cover, so if you can find something, I'd appreciate that (just to confirm, the cover for the left-hand side of the engine)...What parts are you after? i think the reason that it isn't starting could be something else though... how much damage can a generator take before it's screwed? if it still spins does that mean it still works? could the pickup (that sits just above the generator, about 5mm clearance from the spinny generator thingy) be messed up?
