    Special 916 SPS $70g

    Spotted this on TM

Quoted as the last 98 916 SPS built and cost $90g US to put together

It better have plenty of paperwork to go with it

    Pretty nice though

That's a hell of a lot of fastfast bits to stick onto a bike, then only ride it for 200 miles.

One day, a long way in the future, as the last 916 made it'll be worth a pretty packet. Iconic bike.

Funny -- just reading Conquistador's thread about `what catches your eye in a bike' or somesuch, and somebody mentioned `I've never heard anybody call the 916 ugly'. Well, Mr Forgotten, you have now -- this 916 looks like a turd. Standard, please.

70 thousand dollars for a bored out 916 that may or may not be the last of thousands of 916's produced by Ducati ....not a pedigreed race bike, never owned by a celebrity, and not even stock?....is it signed by Rossi?...is the gas tank filled with pure cocaine?...

Yeah, it was a demonstration of what can be done... if you buy it, you're welcome to put as many miles on it as you like

If you can make that judgement from a shitty photo on trademe, you're a better man than most. Nobody who has seen it in the flesh, that I've spoken to, would agree with you.

'bored out 916'... you've no idea who Fast by Ferraci are, do you? If you need your bikes to be a pedigree race bike, or owned by a celebrity, or stock, or signed by Rossi, to be special, then you're nothing but a poser.
