Where were you going on the Friday night? - SD's place?, I don't think theres anything happening at the rally site on the Friday.
I could cope with quite a few (housetrained!) bodies here on the Friday night and then we could head off on Sat morning with a slightly clearer head than would be likely from the other venue!!
with this rally a feature is the group ride out about 1pm so we want to be there for that after setting up tents etc etc.
I was thinking of leaving here about 9am heading back towards Waitahuna and doing a loop up over Mt Stuart coming back onto SH8 just above the Manuka Gorge (Burma Road), go through the gorge then turn left into Perry Rd and then I want to turn left at the top of Perry road and follow round past Table Hill and over the causeway at the headwaters of the Toko River (I've heard about this but never been over there)and then heading back down to SH1, probably via Circle Hill, Down to Milton and then turn off and take the gravel out to Toko Mouth, along the coast to come in the back of Kaitangata and probably just stick to the seal out to Kaka Point from there.
All visiting bikers should do the ride out to the Nugget point lighthouse which is about 10km of easy gravel from the rally site.
That route should include some really good viewing sites - I could make a much longer trip but I think that will be enough for the morning. Last year we did a run out to the lighthouse after we got back from the group ride.

What other adv bikers are interested in that ride?

Excellent - now all we've got to do is make sure all the tar babies know what they're missing out on!!

I'll be a tar baby for this trip. I'm bringing the Sexy Italian Redhead and leaving the Dirty Girl at home.

Hmmm, sounds fun. It's not far to crawl to the rally in the morning either.

    Touche'!

But I CAN show restraint (and a fine set of legs!!)

But I figure on a less hectic drinking schedule on the Friday -after all, YOU will probably not be there to lead me astray!

Jeeepers, the time is creeepin as slow as hell, In fact I do not recall having a swig of any dangerous liquids sine the brass, (disclaimer being that I may have driunkin something but it no being very memorable) I have had a couple of cans of Woody(2nite that is), and just a couple of things missin, bonfire, rock music, hot dogs, pottles of chips, and senseless enjoyable chatter. Soo how far is this rally now??... I did a prepay check, and I have not lost my entry stuff yet, suprising for me really.... but any hoooo time for me to let these fingers away from the keyboard for another woody.... the liquid kind of course...

If I am able to make the rally, I was intending to ride down the same way as I came down last year, it was such a good ride, I enjoyed it sooooo much and that ride goes right to and past your place!

So I think you can count me in thus far, we can get our/my final plan sorted a little closer to time!

Still a chance the Tiger might be two up yet! Cheers John.
