    Hour meter

any body using a DRD hour meter? or more to the point any one had one just go blank?
i got to about 9 and somthing hrs on mine and the numbers just dissapeared.
but even when the bikes not running a number is usually still displayed, so what the fuck? that was a realy good $80 piece of crap wasnt it.

    Havnt heard of that before.
I put one on my 07CR 250 and im fucken surprised how quick the time counts up.
Small rides clock up the hours with all the idling etc.

we have had a couple die, take it back to the dealer you brought it off and they should replace it,

also the DRD motominders do run all the time, not just when the bike is running

hmm i find this hard to believe, i know it activates with the spark plug pulse, but how could it keep going for weeks on end sitting in the shed without batteries?
surely it has one sealed in there somewhere

    however, yea, take it back

Sorry about asking a question in your thread but its better than having heaps of ones on hour meters.

I need tog et an our meter for my bike.
Are they easy to instal or is it best to get a professional to do it.

Also how much are you looking at for a god one?

    Thanks
    Steve

if u can stick a piece of double sided tape onto your bike and twist a red wire around a spark plug lead (no cutting or stripping reqd.) u can install an hour meter.

yeah dude the drd ones are about 89 bucks and are simple and good if they dont die however.
like boom said just double sided tape it on or screw it on. just dont screw it to the gas tank. they do come with instructions. dont get the shop to do it
