I'll start the ball rolling with this pic of a speedo that has been "adjusted"...the pic is from an imported bike currently for sale on Tardeme...... and dont think that digital speedo's are tamper proof either, they can be modified in bikes & cars as well, though it is harder to do and spot.
Well, um......I have owned such antiquated machinery from brand new off the shop floor.....and yes the dials were all wonky just like the pic you show.....after a few thousand brand new km's of course! so I guess that means my brand new pride and joys of the time wern't actually brand new at all! arrrrgggghhhhhhh ripped off huh!

    Cool Yep...

The first one I did wind back I phucked up too. It ended up all wonky so I had to go to a wrecker and get another one, but I was lucky, the one I found had 48,000K's less on it, so it all worked out well. ;-)

Now I am more careful and put my white gloves on too.

Remember a mate many years ago who connected a drill on to the speedo cable and run it in reverse for a day..lol.

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Doesn't always work. Best way is to gear the drill bit to the speedo cable so that 1 rev on drill = 10 revs on cable then run it FORWARD past zero and on to the approximate desired mileage. Lines the numbers up nicer too.

Without going into the details of this bike...I'd prefer he wouldn't speak for others.

Here's a friggin tip for ya, kill yourself, the rest of us will have more air, more space to move, and less of a que at the supermarket.
    Hey Drew. As requested.

IMO, your last sentence of this post goes too far. I don't see how it is shit-slinging with ya mates. That was my only point.

Might have been over the top, but dont take anything I say too seriously. If I'd said it in person, It would have been clear it was a joke from the stupid lookin grin on my face.

That bike is about to roll over to 30000kms. Vehicles I've owned from new have all done what is shown in the picture just before rolling over the next 10000km lot of numbers. Some of them do it in increments of 100kms. Depends on whether or not the analogue Odo has plastic or metal gears I would suggest, as to how precisely the numbers line up. Or whether it was made by Honda or Suzuki suppliers. Honda has much more exacting tolerances than some of the other manufacturers.

I think that was probably a bad example to use Heathen.

If a man is alone in the woods and there isn't a woke Hollywood around to call him racist, is he still white?
