Its not that it's no use (and I thank you very much for it) its just that it keeps turning the desktop to vista basic.

So far I haven't managed to get a decent video using this camera.

It just couldn't handle the vibrations - it turned itself off and never worked again after this ride...

Noel Leeming has organised a replacement, next time I'll try a Ram mount and see if it lasts any longer.

I have some other applications for the camera so if I can't use it on the bike all is not lost - hopefully the Ram mount will make a difference though.

I wouldn't, they are only $199 new. Noel Leeming should be able to order one for you.

Bear in mind they were never designed for bikes / vibration situations, they were designed for skateboarders, skiers, cavers, etc, and as with any $200 toy, what do you expect ?? Try it with a $2000 camera and the only reason the quality will be better is that it is heavier and will vibrate less. Try wrapping some lead sheet around it to dampen the vibration, or mount in fibreglass batts inside some plastic downpipe, both options will solve your problem in different ways. Or do what I do, just strap to your leg or arm - problem solved..... If you go back to post # 144 in this thread you will be able to see the quality I can get from it. Hope that helps, Stu
My KLR thinks it's a Hyundai - running happily at the red-line hour after hour.....

I'm not using an Oregon camera but i stick my helmet camera to helmet now days with 3m Dual Lock velcro. Just been a bit expensive and hard to source so far. Guess I'm not looking in the right places.
