    I agree with this comment.

People that start this type of thread are ill guided do-gooders, with to much time on their hands.

Leave it to the correct channels to deal with such issues.

I have a name if you had taken the time to read the entire thread. I am not a ill guided do gooder and I would love to know what the correct channels are so that we can avoid the accident waiting to happen. Obviously you haven't seen this guy in action nor live in the areas where members are concerned. Have you seen Newtown in peak hour traffic? Its a main route to Island Bay and other southern zones and hes doing 100kph + along the centreline. IF you read the thread very carefully, thats if you have the time of course, you may get the impression that there are a number of very concerned people and its good to see that some are actually going to take the time, are they ill guided do gooders too then?, and actually visit this guy, and I have had private messages to this effect. Call me a ill advised do gooder idiot but no one has advised me on this subject in the first place anyway. I just posted the thread to see if A, hes a member and B, someone may be able to contact him and possiblely save his life, a kids life and certainly avoid a visit from the cops because I think theres a number of people just waiting for him to slow down enough to get a clear look at his rego. Then we will do the proper channels bullpoo. I think its important new members learn some manners before making stupid remarks.

hmmm...that could be said of some old members (like me) too!
    oops! Pardon me.

But then again...having manners and making stupid remarks don't necessarily go together.
I mean, I was brought up to be the epitome of decorum but most of my posts are stupid remarks!

Um, his join date is in March 2005, a year before you joined.

Why not get the cops to park in the main street in a plainclothes car if you're that concerned about it?

Lord Derosso....you need to calm down, you're not doing yourself any favours by over-reacting.

Doesn't matter if you're a new or old member on here, people will have their own views.

The appropriate channel to take this further is the Police, quite obvious I would have thought.

IT IS NOT THE LOCKSMITH DUDE!!!
    I just asked was all...
They shall not grow old as we that are left grow old.
Age shall not weary them nor the years condemn.

Normally I wouldn't bother wasting my time to respond to such a tirade but as it happens I have some free time right now.

The relevance of being in Nelson seems to evade me. (sarcasm warning...) Could it be that people living in other parts of NZ may have witnessed drivers/riders doing dangerous and unsafe things in our local streets too? Goodness me, some of those people might have actually done something about those riders/drivers by filling in a Community Roadwatch form or reporting it to their local Police station. Of course, that thought had occurred to you hadn't it LD?

Otherwise serious members like me would have already sorted it out by calling the cops by now. Didn't you have the brains after three whole pages of a thread that we would have done so ? DONT BE SO SMART ! DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH DAH !
Yes, I did read the entire thread LD.

"Donkey ass"! Pfft. That made me giggle a bit I must admit. Insults like that tell me almost as much about you as the info in your Profile.

Please define what a "serious member" is LD. I didn't select that box on the sign-up forms when I joined KB. I wonder if it's too late.

Regarding the clarity of his rego - take comfort in knowing that there are probably dozens of people who this rider has passed (and pissed off) that might have been able to take note of his rego. That you have failed to do so is not an indication of your eyesight or reading ability.

The final point that perhaps needs to be responded to in your post relates to the mystical change process you appear to think will happen when the Police respond to this rider. This rider does what he does for a range of reasons. I can't attest to what they are, however, I strongly suspect that a visit or 4 from the Police is not going to change the attitude of this individual toward himself and other road users.

You've successfully highlighted that it does not require manners to make stupid remarks.

Seriously, I do understand that this is something you are passionate about. In my case I wish to have a family one day and that means that I need to survive the streets of Nelson on a bicycle, motorcycle, car and as a pedestrian. Let me assure you that there are days where this is a more risky proposition than others.

Me too. It makes me uncomfortable though - is this the same reason nobody did anything in all these other incidents we've been discussing recently? I know it's less serious than child abuse or whatever, but is it the same 'lack of community' issue?
and am uncomfortable with the lynch mob mentality.
    Agreed entirely on that one.

    1. Get his plate number and report your concern to the people that enforce the law concerning such matters.(you may have to clean the bus window a little to get good view out)

    2. I DO live in the area, I AM a concerned member.

    3. Yes, I pass through it everyday on a motorcycle.

    4. This your best guess on centre line dotted with traffic islands every 30 metres.

5.Im sure he will respect your opinion,When I see him next I will pass on your concerns. He already knows my concerns.

    6. Your special aren't you

7.Okay, Ive already have called you that, you added 'idiot' yourself.

    8. I have been a member a year longer than yourself, my opinions are just as valid as yours.

Oi - Mr Lord Derrosso. I have no problem with you raising this issue in the first place, you have exposed a menace that other people have witnessed and I am sure no one should disrespect you for reporting this to the authorities. However you lost all credibility with me when you started slagging off and name calling in reply to some of the responses - some of the stuff you have posted in reply is totally random and I respectfully suggest you tone it down a bit.

Well said et al and apologies also to bell, Jim2, et al, stu dog HDT boy and Slingshot but well done to Gavin at Streetwise and remarks in private by other members whom I would love to show but that would just be justifying my stance and causing childish feedback.

The thread was intended to be serious so there was always going to be feedback but I shouldn't have reacted after knowing really concerned LOCALS were on the case. The main thing is that positive action has occured so my intention has been completed and this thread is ended....Look after all riderss folks even if it means being PROACTIVE. Cheers.
