    Blah Binned the KTM

Got my bum high sided yesterday after what had been a awesome ride through parts of the Coromandel.
Rear tyre hit a bit of diesel(cheers The Stranger for checking that) and the bike stepped out and biffed me over the top before I knew anything had happened.
Fortunately I always wear good riding gear which saved my bones this time.
The Superduke isn't too bad considering it went down the road at 90-ish kmph and I've just got some heavy bruising.

Shit happens at anytime...good gear is essential!

Ahh I feel your pain! Glad you're alright anyway... Totally agree about the gear thing. Makes all the difference. Hope your Duke isn't too scratched up.

So quick, so vulnerable, so pointless, so much a piss-off.

I feel for you Chris, did anyone get to see it from start to finish? My greatest regret is not having anyone to tell me what happened and not getting any style-points.

LOL! Sorry Grub but alas no there were no motorcycling witnesses to said event to give me a score on style! I did give myself a solid 9/10 though.

However I'm very grateful to the 4 car loads of people that stopped to check me out. They were more than a little surprised when I got up,took my helmet off to reveal a big arsed cheesie smile...I mean fark...I survived being flung on to the oncoming lane.

Hope you heal up quick and leave that fun stuff out for a while!

Might buy you some spurs and chaps for your birthday Flyboy. That way when your steed throws you you will have appropriate attire which will add to your style points for sure!

I'll give your Shoei an 8/10 for the style of scuff If anyone wants to buy you new gear, another lid should be top of the list me thinks

Glad you're OK Chris.... So that VIP trackday with Aaron Slight didn't turn you into a trackday junkie then......
