Try to avoid stopping in Ruatoria.... It's the festering pimple on the arse of the east cape. One of the few places where 8 year olds are scary.

Might be sometime during the week bro...U know us shifties....different weekend days to weekly 9-5 workers!! On Sunday we are looking at doing a ride with Underwood/Wilkins shop. Sounds like they are heading to Raglan...will be around 20-30 riders on the day.
Highway Biker
If you want to have a stop-over at Hicks Bay Motel, it pays to book as there isn't a lot of accommodation in the area. The wife and I had a leisurely tour last Nov and EVERYWHERE was just about fully booked.
