I don't wanna get into this horsepower "mines got more than yours/ducatis are wicked" type debate, however, my K7 Thousand got dynoed today. After the pipe was fitted.

If a 749 V-Twin (regardless of manufacture) makes one thirty at the tread, what d'ya reckon a new Jappa thousand made?

Is there a prize for the closest?

    Serious answer:
    Enough!

    Speculating answer:
    I'd reckon about 175.67 hp @ 12243 rpm

Remember when the thousands came out? Everybody said they were too grunty for the road. And yet those of us stupid enough to buy them anyway, and could make them boogy, would all say we wanted a bit more in places. At the hill climb I was on quite possibly the quickest bike there, but comin through the flat out section half way up, I was screaming at my bike to get off it's arse.

Anyhoo, rant over, spill it Jimmy, what's the new toy pumpin through the tread?

    It's simple mate.

Ya know that part of you that thinks, "I should back off here, this is stupid"? Ignore it. Self preservation is just silly, there are other people out there to worry about you, so just dont do it yourself.

Yeah and I forgot to ask him in the brief moment we saw each other before my night shifts. Only saw each other long enough for me to admire the new pipe.
