    So long and farewell ...

Well, Court finally happened on Monday for the incident: "ZeroIndex Bins"

I think I got off pretty damn lightly, and when I get my license back, to be a lot more careful, and I really hope I can continually learn my lesson.

So, what did I do wrong (according to the police report)? I ran a red light at 3am on a fairly deserted road, turned up another road, at which the cops got behind me, put on their red and blue flashy lights, which I didn't notice due to no mirrors, although they said I looked back and then raced off, which I have no idea why I did that, but that aside, did approx 100km/h in a 50km/h area, cut a corner, narrowly missing a car, then on the next corner, high-sided off my bike.

I remember leaving my friends house just before 3am, then I woke up in hospital, and after visiting my doctor the other day, it turns out I suffered quite a severe concussion.

So, motto of the story, always wear a helmet, don't run red lights, and don't be an idiot. For now I have learnt my lesson, and I'm hoping that it stays that way.

For my troubles (talking about being let off lightly), they disqualified my license for 6 months (which I expected), gave me 60 hours of community work (since I don't have a job and can't afford to pay a fine), and to top it off, which worked out pretty well (due to me not being able to afford a fine), they confiscated my bike (I just dropped it off at Turners Auctions, Hamilton).

Their reason for confiscating my bike is very reasonable, cause my charges were "Not stopping for a vehicle displaying red and blue flashing lights" and "Dangerous Driving", and the "not stopping" only carries a cash value fine (up to $4500), which they pretty-much dropped and just confiscated my bike (which I would've been happy to sell for $500).

Thanks to the people on my "ZeroIndex Bins" thread that didn't personally attack me. I now know what I did, and know that it was wrong, and hopefully anyone reading this doesn't make the same mistake.

Final pictures of my bike before delivering it to Turners Auctions for confiscation to follow.

    -ZeroIndex

Ps. I've got a spare shorty muffler now

Well that was pretty polite considering, but SD is a cop so id expect it from him.

Im not going to be quite so. I too hope you learned your lesson Zero & not just about this incident, your general attitude, just glad tools like you don't live anywhere near me to be honest. All ive seen of you is neg repping me for bumping a for sale thread for my HD bike jacket (like wtf dude?), ive got one neg rep here in KB'er and it was from you for the fore mentioned. Then you crap off ya bike while stunting on a PUBLIC road, fucking it & not having any money to fix it

Then posting about this incident prior to the court decision & the court decision itself. I know of people who have had an accident & been gun shy to post about it (a simple mistake) but you take the cake, you act like a clown & post it for the world to see.

Im just happy for the general public of the Tron that your off the road.

Sorry if this sounds harsh.......you need it.

Honestly hope you do learn a lesson, grow a brain & wise up cause God forbid you'll be back on the road one day.
To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded

ouchy... well its really true about not hearing the sirens and seeing red and blue from behind...

the other evening I didn't knew there was a cop car behind me until they were very close, gave me a fright... even thou they just wanted to get past and attend to their own business.

I will admit I haven't heard the cops serin a couple of times... ear plugs... helmet and all that, wind noise... me being deaf as a door nail

But you should be checking your surroundings all the time... know not just whats ahead, but behind, and beside you, heck even whats above...

I do hope you have learnt your lesson and glad that no innicent party was involved and got hurt.

I had one that worked the other way. I could hear him, but he was so close behind that I couldn't see him in either mirror. It was a few seconds before I worked out what was going on. We must have just about been mating number plates - what sort of bastard offspring would that have resulted in ?

Hey Zero, its not good you lost your bike even at $500 I would hate some prick to take my bike. BUT (and look its a big one) it had to happen, I never met you and the only pieces of ZeroIndex I know are when I read what you or others have written, it doesnt paint a pretty picture most of the time. Maybe sometime to reflect on past actions, learn the lessons that it seems others have tried to share with you.
Do your time, accept that the wrong decisions have been made and look me up for a ride in the future.

Well, I aint as kind as other posters here... Zero, you are a 'A' grade fuckwit... the word LOOSER comes to mind, and thats just for posting about ya thoughtless brain dead antics... ever give anyone else a thought through all of that???
What were ya, stoned, pissed, munted on some crazy shit you young ones are hell bent on? come on now you cant have been straight, no helmet... ever heard of fifth syndrome?

Thanks to the actions of the likes of you, my ACC is high, my insurance is high... other young buggers that do it all by the book cant get insurance, and to think that it could have so easily ended up with a fatal outcome, and I dont mean you but an innocent by stander, or their child.

You got off bloody lightly as far as Im concerned... and I make no apologies for my post, but will however applaud you if you should ever show me you have in fact learnt from this and do your bit to stop others from such stupid shit.
    cheers DD

I actually don't recall any of this "shit" mentioned above... I left my friends house at 3am (yes, I had 1 beer around 12pm, and by 1, i mean one standard beer... export gold i think it was). Yes I'm pretty sure I've learned that being on the road is a privilege, and it's not a racetrack.

If you think about it: If i hadn't crashed my bike while stunting on a deserted road (public and dumb as it may have been), I would've had to surrender a perfectly good bike...

I apologise for the prior red rep about your thread bumping about the HD jacket. Might've been a bad week, I don't know.

Ok, Mr Dangerous... to started, I think the word you were looking for (that you even put in bold letters, would be spelt Loser, not looser. Not sure what I could get munted on, I wasn't stoned, I don't do drugs... And according to previous research, 1 beer, 3 hours prior to riding, has never caused me to even become tipsy, so drunk wasn't one of the things...
I remember pulling out of my mates driveway when I left his house around 3am, and then woke up in hospital... why I ended up where I did, and why I chose to ran remain a mystery to me.

Where exactly does it say "No helmet"? I always ride with a helmet... here's a picture of the damage to it... What I said was, that if I wasn't wearing a helmet, the damage would have been a lot worse.

I apologise in advance for the undeniable fact that ACC and insurance for motorcycles is going to go up 150% due to my actions <- p/t

And to wrap this post up, yes, I did get off lucky, but I thank God and the authorities, that they believe that I will and have learnt from this experience.

I'm glad that I'm off the road for 6 months, cause it will give me time for self-reflection, and a better understanding that being on the road is a privilege not a right.
