Well read your quote below and you will understand why I thought such.

You did well to answer the quotes above, and you would be suprised how many have bolted like that and ened up on their arse (not me tho)

    Fair enough dude...

And with the quotes above, yes, previously I have acted like a dick, and people don't need to be subjected to that all day long, so yeah, I'm trying to better myself, and be helpful where I can

I've just caught up with this again - I didn't realise that the original thread had been lost in "the crash". Interesting to see the different response to the thread this time round...

There's no doubt about it, ZeroIndex, you've kept us all amused and exasperated with your clowning and antics.

I am impressed however, with your acceptance of your mistakes, and your apparent gratitude for your lenient punishment.

So you're on the old bicycle now, eh? Well, I look forward to reading your "bicycle stunting" threads, and also looking forward to your return to the fold - a little older, a little wiser.

    Good luck.

Well none of are perfect, life is an experience and all we can do is try and learn form our experiences.

I respect the fact that you have been open about stuff and this does not make you a loser matey.

Take care and just use this time to reflect eh.

Well, today was day one of bicycle stunting (thanks to Sidewinder)... was actually quite fun, although, it is more difficult doing wheelies on a bicycle than on my old FZR... the stoppies were cool, except for the one... it went up to high, the bike fully endoed, and I ended up a metre ahead of it on the ground... fortunately, I was playing around on the grass so it didn't hurt too much... My only good wheelie went up, past 12, then I was on the grass, both events were strangely very laughable and very funny...

Where do I sign up for a membership to the "Look at me, the sun shines outta my azz, I have never done anything stupid" club???

Hmmm... cancel that, I just remembered some shit I done. So sorry, the membership in the club will for now have to stay at single figures...

May the bridges I burn light the way.

Well it's all a learning curve ol' son. When the curve levels out that's much the same as flatlining.

Well Zero, we've argued before etc but I am impressed the way you are handling this. I agree with everyone that the 'old' zero is off the road before he caused damage to someone other than himself, and am glad too that you haven't ended up with serious injuries of your own.
There seems to be some scepticism that you have really learned anything, but I hope you have. We have all done very stupid things. Although these days I wear OTTboots, back protector and kneeguards on top of everything else and generally am a "voice of caution and responsibility" I started riding legally at 15. My friends and I did wheel spins, coordinated 180 degs etc. which I now would flip at if I saw kids doing it down my street. Although I had two grandmothers both hit by drunk drivers (one killed) I had to learn my own way that bikes and beer do not mix (I never had any incidents, but learnign takes time).

So enjoy your mountain bike. Unlike motorbikes a stoppie is very likely to pitch you over the top, but you should have some fun.

When you get back on the road again show us you've changed and show you skills and speed off at events and track days.

    Old man post over.

And nowhere near as painful on either the body, the wallet or the drivers license...
If it wasn't for a concise set of rules, we might have to resort to common sense!

My mountain biking experience is pretty good so far... I've done a total of about 30km's so far in the 3 days I've had it, so that's like... 10km a day, so by the end of this I should be pretty damn fit.

As soon as I'm allowed back on a motorised version of two wheel transport, I plan to follow the rules of the road a lot more closely than I used to... I'm not gonna say I'm never gonna speed, cause I know it will come back on me if/when I do. I do however plan to be a better "Citizen of the Road"
