South Island Passes 2008 - Poll

This is a multi poll, Pleases select all dates that would be acceptable to you, and your prefferred start/finish point.

There are 25 Passes, one of which we travel over twice. There will be 5 full days riding.

edit: I should add that if the final decision is for the first or last week of the poll, then RM will have to organise accomadation, meeting points, etc. I wont be able to get off work.

    start/finish

Bugga - pushed the button b4 I'd clicked the start/finish bit. I'd go with either but would prefer the Naesby/Oamaru option

There are quite a few who indicated interest on the main thread and who haven't yet voted. I'll close the poll at 9:00 pm on Monday 3rd September. So just a few days left to vote.

I've voted already but doesn't it say: "This poll will close on 5th September 2007 at 20:46"?

The quicker the better as virgin's running out of cheap flights..!

Just FYI - the Yamaha Safari is 26-28 January.
    Might conflict with some.

I am not at all worried about a conflict of dates, Last year's safari was virtually on my back door, and I knew many of the routes that they were taking. It wasn't an adventure ride, it was an outright trail ride, so I wasn't at all suprised to learn that so many of the bigger bikes pulled out.

Our passes ride is an adventure ride, not a trail ride. We will be covering a similar distance each day that the safari does in three days, so I don't believe we are catering to the same riders.

    Let Jantar Rule

Last year Jantar set it up, be there on this date,at this time and ride.
To easy.So why all this B/S about a poll when most of the tossiers voting won't even be on the ride.
Come on Malchom just run it like last year. They don't shoot dictators in NZ look at Helen she's got away with it for years.
So all you people better commit that are voting,or is to bigger ride for most of you.And i can be a day rider. They should be banned to after last years lot that crashed trying to show how good they are, not at riding. And then write them selves up as hero's.What's with that.

    You Took The Wrong Bullet

Slippery you took the wrong bullet it was'nt aimed at you, more over the day riders who just did one day.You weren't a day rider
This passes ride needs Jantar to take control and not put up with this poll thing.Riders are either in or out.Put our hands up now yes or no and be there on that date like last year. And ride " TO EASY" as you Ozzies say.
Thats my angle on it.Right or wrong.

Ye Stu... Ole Duck is a cranky bastard this week. I think he gets lonely for some lovin on the long road here in OZ. He told me he has covered 17,000km's and he still has to get to Melbourne and Sydney from Perth! God love him though... I will cheer him up in Melbourne when i introduce him to Casey Stoner
