    Passed my Restricted today!

    Yay,

Got my restricted today, typical that it was dry all morning, then as soon as we left to start the test it hosed down!.

Finally get to remove the L Plate (Only reason I had it on there in the first place was due to a $400 fine)

So happy that I will only have 3 months left shortly (After DD Course) to get my full

Then it will be Daytona 675 or GSXR 600-750

    Couldn't be happier today

Also, big thanks to everyone on here, I have found anything I have ever needed to know about bikes, and all of you are most helpful

Take it easy, Won't be long till I get me a big bike. To be honest I'm getting sick of the noise of 11,000 rpm at 110-120 km/ph

    Take care out there.

Nice work Vapor. I ditched my broken shard of L plate after 6 months and 1 day a couple of weeks ago. Great feeling to know you can legally travel the speed limit eh!

I'm planning on doing the 3 month thing to. I'd read if you're under 25 your have to have had your R for 6 months before applying for the course. Do us over 25's have to wait until 3 months or can we do it straight away?

Any idea where you're going to do your DD course? I was thinking Takapuna driving school cause it's not the AA. Might see you there.

Guess we'll be shopping for the same bike at the same time too haha.

Hey Disco Yeah, we can do the course straight away (Oldies). I checked with the AA when I sat my test today. As soon as you get your restricted and are over 25, you can do the DD course anytime. It is only if under 25 you have to hold your restricted for 6 months before doing the DD Course.

    Cheers

That's great! I was thinking it'd be stupid to make us wait till 3 months. You just saved me a phone call

I thought you have to do the course before the 3 (or 6) months, not after???
