Hate to be a party pooper, but can we please remember the topic of this thread and try to keep it there, thanks.

I am still trying to get this organised, so please just be patient, it will happen, but have been doing a bit of tail chasing lately as well as a few other things going on, so don't fret people, it is getting organised.

Actually, if you guys want to be helpful, how about you all start posting ideas of what you'd like on the plaque.....
I've just got off the phone from the lady at the council and she suggested that we use engraved formica(sp) for the plaque as it is less likely to get stolen as a brass plaque. Also we can get it as big or small as we like, so can put pictures, song lyrics, a poem etc on it. How about some suggestions.
The seat is a standard park bench as requested, the idea so far is to put it under the little tree by the carpark on Fairway Drive, Avalon Park, but the other question is, do we want it facing the carpark or the park?
    Bring it on people.

Reckon keep it real simple... not sure about song lyrics unless its something that Bruce used to hum or whatever. Something silly like 'Always riding" ...

I agree. Just his name and maybe his handle too.
Facing across the carpark to the duckpond would be appropriate I think.

Agree. Keep it simple. Nothing morbid or sad. Facing the carpark.

Last time I spoke to Debbie she was quite happy for us to do whatever we felt appropriate.
    So how about something like:

In rememberance of our friend Bruce Hannaford (Uncle B).

    and maybe something like:

He will ride with us always
????? or something. Just suggestions, I'm not going to please everyone, but hey.

I'm also organising having LooseBruce's seat put in at the same time, and was told we are most welcome to go down when they are put in to arrange them, where they face etc, so if anyone's keen I'm looking at getting them in on the 29th of Nov and we can have an unveiling/ride etc on the Sunday.
