sheesh...i may jus sleep in the cage......still gonna bring up the cage as I promised....The bike will be ready by then but my word is my word........so if anyone needs me to bring up anything (from chch) feel free to ask me....

Thats a good point. Carting bedding and tent etc all the way from Dunedin/Southland etc is not much fun if it can be avoided... Will there be any allocation for those of us attending from further away.

Carrying tthe luggage is not a problem, not different than going on any other rally...

Ok I will admit it... I would just prefer a bed, after a longish haul... there I said it.

Once ya tent/bedding etc is strapped on ya bike.. it's no problem!!! Like NH said.. "not different than going on any other rally"

Crikey, I did a 3000km, 11 day trip end of last year.. with a fully ladened bike & only used said tent/bedroll ONCE!!!

lols.. I was there last Dec for the KB Doo!!

WITH a fully ladened bike.. having travelled (the long way round.. via ChCh, Timaru, Omarama, Wanaka, Queenstown, Lawrence & back to Otematata

AND my bloody toy is only a 400!!!!!

This is why we have decided to try & make these doos fair for everybody.. by having them nearer the top end of the Island one year.. then the bottom end of the Island the next year!! So each year one lot travel further.. then next year, that lot don't have to go far.. & visa versa!

Can't please all the people all the time..
