Taranaki ride, Sat 22 Sept 07

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but there is an awesome lookout on the road between Tauramanui and Turangi (SH41?) at the top of the Waituhi saddle. Just after the gates used to close the top of the road when it snows, on the left (travelling to turangi) there is a sealed access to a lookout tower. On a fine day, you see all the from Taupo to Oakune - all of the lake and the mountains. Fantastic views. Makes a good stop after the twisties on the way up.

I dont mind if you jump on the back of the kwaka for some of the trip. But after Waitara i will already be 2up so might be a bit crowded 3up.

Bear in mind though - Once you go green you never go back. (ok , somehow that works better with black.

Yeah twas going to mention that on the day, I stopped there by complete chance a few weeks ago & was most impressed, actually took my breath away, was/is a pretty awesome view

6 more sleeps till the ride

Really looking forward to this ride, its all good going for a ride round the back blocks here for an hour or so but nothing beats a big stretch of the legs

well there girl you would have to be at Manfield on sat to get any said choccy cake .. so if ya dunna get out on the long trip ya know where to thumb that ride too

besides that it needs to be "special" to the boyz only .. then they will never ask me to make another
